Well located in Thessaloniki, The Mavili urban stay has 3-star accommodations close to Church of Agios Dimitrios and Aristotelous Square. I would come back to this city just to sleep in that hotel bed again, it's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Great staff and very clean and comfortable rooms!

I stayed with family for 7 days Mon to Sun. On Tuesday we rented a car and drove to Edessa Water falls, Vergina King Philip ancient burial site, and Balkans War Museum about 1.5 hours away. On Wed. we drove to Kavalla and Philippi ancient roman city. On Thursday we drove to Chalkidiki peninsula famous for fresh fish, crystal coasts. On Friday we spent the day via taxi and visited within the city, a. The Byzantium Museum, b. The Archaeological Museum, 3. The White Tower, 4. the statue of Alexander the Great, 5. The War Museum. Missed the Jewish & Macedonian War Museums as they closed early. On Saturday we visited a. Saint George Rodonta Palace / Church by Emperor Galerius, b.The Arc of Galerius, c. The Byzantium church of Saint Demetrius, his grave and the catacombs under the church, d. The Roman Agora. I purchased collective tickets for 15 euros per person and visited 4 sites inclusive. Each night we spend it at Ladadika district famous for Greek Meze food. On our last day we went on a mini cruise at Thermaikos bay and then departed to airport. MUST SEE: 1. Byzantium church of Saint Demetrius, his grave and the catacombs, 2. Vergina site ( a bit far but a must - unique experience). Use Taxis - i paid max 3.50 euros for all four of us to travel around. 25 euros from airport to hotel for 4 ...

A small village into the woods of Vermio, Macedonia/Greece. Dirt roads, forest all around but Naoussa city is just 20' away. A waterfall is located 2,5Km from the settlement. Amazing place, worth the visit. Perfect place for forest/mountain activities or just relaxation. A ski resort is nearby.

Sidenote, just something to be aware of as with most places in the area you may need to park on the street as it is on (across) the beach and you may also have stairs in your hotel room, so make sure you are savvy with those! (Hotels not included) Its perfectly clean, has everything that you need for a perfect vacation. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! The beach is great and the sandy sea is ideal for kids. Big, clean rooms! Daily cleaning service! Great location, next to the beach. Sunbeds were good quality and the sunscreens were new. The street dividing the hotel from the beach is not busy. The food was plentiful, typical, central Macedonian type. Variety of fried and fresh salads. Spices were nice and there was vegetarian variety. Some gests didn't find it tasteful, but for me, it was good (considering the price).
