Staff was more than wonderfull, offered breakfast to go, helped with search of some local telephone numbers, gave great advice. You have a pool room, bar, several exits if in search of aurora. The Inn location is near lighthouse where we saw great northern lights, they are close to the airport (10min), Blue lagoon (30min), rental areas (5min) if you need to drop a car..so many great things about this place and would highly recommend it.

United KingdomWe received a warm welcome at the Park Inn. The staff on the desk was lovely and sorted out a taxi for us to the airport in the morning. Room was very big for two people and very clean. Dinner was exceptional, we had the steak sandwich and the bacon burger and they were fantastic. We also had desert which was fabulous! Staff at dinner were very friendly and helpful. Didn't expect much from a Park inn having staying in some in the UK but this one was superb.

The Gym was in the basement and probably one of the best hotel gyms I've been to with state of the art equipment, spacious and right next to the bar and spa. I think I had assumed the hot tubs would be free but they were part of the spa you got a discount to use them but we didn't care enough to pay. The lobby bar was good had a happy hour

Andi and Yuki are truly the epitome of exceptional, welcoming hosts. When reading the reviews prior to booking it all seemed too good to be true. The minute Andi picked us up from the airport, however, we understood exactly what everyone meant. We only got to stay one night at 1x6, but in that night we got to connect with people all over the world, and made some new friends from Oregon. The added homemade breakfast as great, and they were ready to help with anything we needed. For our next trip to Iceland, we’ll for sure be back!

The remote and peaceful location, view of the breaking waves from the house, private hot tub, fully functional kitchen with essential equipment which allowed us to cook our own meals, big windows in the living room, hosts who were very responsive to our questions. Multiple streaming services on TV - Netflix, Disney+, Rakuten TV, etc. Good Wifi service.

The apartment was just terrific, everything renovated, super clean, spacious and comfortable.
Very beautiful location, overseeing the lighthouse, and it is within a short walking distance.

Keflavik was surprising.
Keflavik was surprising. We expected a very industrial town, and while this is true, there is a nice walk along the waterfront with information boards and you can carry on to some more wild coast if you have time. Very convenient for the airport, but quiet and safe. The main street is a bit run down but there are places to eat and drink that look not too bad.

Grindavik is still recovering from the recent volcanic eruptions. The impact of the eruptions is very evident in the surrounding area. For all that, we had two excellent meals while we were there at local restaurants. There is also a fascinating outdoor photo display documenting the volcanic activity that really puts things into perspective.

Gardur is a convenient location close to the airport. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable, The access was easy with no stairs for brining in luggage. I liked the small town and visiting the lighthouses nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again.

Vogar is obviously just a bedroom community for Reykjavik with little there except a hotel, a motel, and a single uninteresting restaurant. It is convenient to the airport, the Blue Lagoon, and an excellent lava tube attraction. It is also close to the recent volcano eruption should you want to see than. The volcano was sleeping when we visited. It is far out of the path of the lava flow so it is quite safe.

We chose to stay here on our last night in Iceland, for the convenience of the airport. It was really good, a very easy 10/15 minute drive, with no traffic or weather worries so was well worth it! Its close to blue lagoon too so you could go there, but it was fully booked for us so we drove up to Sky lagoon instead to soother our aching muscles! Has a hot tub which we didn't use as we had been to the lagoon but would have been a nice way to finish off especially as we were treated to a great Aurora display.. a fantastic way to bid farewell to Iceland!
Very well equipped and nicely furnished.
The only slight negative if we were staying longer is the walls were a little thin in the semi detached and you could hear next door at times, as they had a full house, so I would opt for the detached for privacy but fine for us for one night.

We stayed in this hotel, for one night.
We stayed in this hotel, for one night. After arriving at the airport, we checked into the hotel and left the following day, since we had other accommodations booked in the center city of Reykjavík for the rest of our stay. However, this first day and night in Iceland was one of the most memorable. The hotel itself was quite lovely and perfectly situated. We went to the blue Lagoon in the afternoon and the location was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who needs an overnight stay near the airport.

It's clearly a town trying to recover from the disaster...
It's clearly a town trying to recover from the disaster caused by the volcanic eruption, but it's still pleasant, tidy, and clean. Nearby, you can admire the eruption's remains and some fumaroles.

We just spent our last day in this area and overnight for a morning flight. We drove around the peninsula and took in the ocean and lava fields for the last time. The Bridge between the Continents was very interesting. We loved the city of Keflavik and especially the Dunn Museum cafe. (We got there too late for the museum itself.) We both took advantage of the seafood and were not disappointed. Halibut for me, which was fabulous. My husband had a seafood trio with shrimp and lobster. We both cleaned our plates!

It was close to airport.
It was close to airport. Room was overpriced for the accommodation. Breakfast we had to pay for but wish we would have just stopped at a gas station instead. The guy wears a chef jacket but only thing that was cooked was boiled eggs. Price for breakfast was too costly for what you get.
