The Outside Boutique Hotel was exceptionally clean, the 24-staff was excellent (and could speak English, we couldn't speak Italian), the breakfast was excellent, and they had parking available. Additionally, we had trouble with our rental car, and the hotel owner MIchael went well above and beyond to help, by making local phone calls, and advising us. When we travel to Foggia again (2026?), we will definitely stay here again.

The location was prime. We were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The moment when I walked in, I felt as if I had been transported into the heart of Sicily. The decor is absolutely stunning with intricate designs and thoughtful touches that reflect the rich, cultural heritage of the area. The breakfast was amazing with lots of options.

Beautiful, ultra modern, clean and comfortable. Costanza was so very welcoming and professional and even took us to the room to explain how everything works! Huge balcony with glass railings overlooking the main street was a huge bonus! We were there in early December and it was still awesome to sit out and watch the busy street. My wife and I loved the place. Location is perfect!

Amazing value for money. Modern interior, clean room, friendly staff and private underground parking. On top of all that the place is dog friendly. For my personal needs this checks all the boxes. There is a coffe machine in the room for an espresso in the morning and a tea kettle. Additionally a tap and glass bottle to refill free filtered cold water in the hallway. (even sparkling) Check in/check out was quick and easy.

Time at the monastero is everything you might expect for a 5 star resort experience with some notable distinctions. Amazing attention to detail and systems of management, result in a sense of tranquility which is hugely amplified by the monastery setting. This really can't be overstated. The peaceful environment they create here is quite precious. Secondly, having a limited number guests (20), means that there is a sense of privacy missing from some resorts or hotels. Thirdly, the views are literally some of the best photos from our trip. Fourthly, the generosity and warmth of the staff in every area is 100% consistent. A great credit to management. Loved our stay. Obviously not an every holiday option, but a special stay that will be remembered for a very long time.

Where do I even begin? From the moment we stepped onto the property, we felt so welcomed and treated with the utmost care and kindness. The masseria’s attention to detail is superb. Our stay exceeded our expectations 100000x over. We enjoyed the abundant free breakfast, the relaxing pool and cabana bar, and the on-site spa. The shuttle service that took us to and from the beach club was a huge plus, as well. We enjoyed meeting every staff member that helped us during our stay, and we would definitely come back!

Naples is filled with architectural gems and history.

Naples is filled with architectural gems and history. If you look past the graffitti and the less-than-attractive facades of the buildings, you will find a city alive with culture, a population friendly and helpful and Pompeii and Herculaneum are just a stone's throw away!

Returning to Palermo after several years, I was surprised at the changes. The historic center is much more "upscale" and more animated than I remembered. (Also more crowded.) More of the center has been restored and upgraded. This is a mixed blessing, because some of the old character is missing, while other aspects of the "old" Palermo are best left in the past. It remains an excellent place to visit, the natural surrounding remains impressive, the mosaics and decoration of the churches and other buildings are still breathtaking, and the many layers of history still astonishing. It reminds one in many ways of Naples and if you like that fascinating city, you'll like Palermo also.

Lots of cool alleys and tourist attractions, but at the same time quite dirty streets. If you want to get around by bike, forget it. Very friendly and helpful locals. Even for a city full of tourists, we never encountered any hostility. I really liked the old buildings. The fact that most of them were somewhat neglected only added to their charm. We will definitely be back.

We traveled both by a rented car, intercity bus and train. All options were ok. When travel with a train, you have 4 hours to get from where you are to your final destination, so you can get off the train and visit another small town for 2 hours. We visited 2 cities per day and it was very, very pleasant. In case of the citys near the Sea from the train station to the city center it takes 10-15 minutes walking (Barletta, Poliagno a Mare, Monopoli, Trani).

Matera is still a secret of Puglia and that's what makes it so special - from preserving the architectural tradition, with narrow streets, old stone, many churches, very chic restaurants, very good food, extremely clean, extremely bright (you can walk around without problems at any time and you can see a treasure at every step), with superb views, with wonderful people, I could talk a lot about Matera! But you have to see it with your own eyes to believe it!

Siracusa and Ortigia, where we stayed, are dream destinations for any visitor, with narrow streets, old and pitoresc houses. Siracusa is a captivating coastal city where ancient history meets Mediterranean charm. Once one of the most powerful cities of the Greek world, it is famed for its archaeological treasures, including the Greek Theatre and Roman amphitheater. The historic island of Ortigia enchants visitors with baroque architecture, narrow stone streets, seaside promenades, and lively piazzas. With its rich past, clear blue waters, and excellent Sicilian cuisine, Siracusa offers a timeless and authentic Italian experience.

Great base to explore the Amalfi coast and capri. Also good to take some time out and relax. I was there in off season, late November and quite a lot of shops and restaurants were closed. But being a bigger town it did not matter and was fine. So as an off season base this was great.
