- friendly, helpful, cheerful staff - spacious, modern room (plus ours had a nice view) - air conditioning worked great, it was very useful with summer temperatures - good water pressure in the shower - amazing breakfast, anything you could possibly ask for, vegan and gluten-free options were included - a galley on almost every floor where we could refill our bottles with cold (!) water or eventually grab coffee or tea - great common space downstairs

Great location, super friendly staff, very clean and comfy. I love how you can't tell from the outside how lovely and stylish the hotel and its rooms are. We only stayed 2 days, but really enjoyed it as we needed a base while exploring the area. Since the hotel is in the middle of everything worth seeing in Pistoia, it was a great place to explore this charming little town as well. We will definitely come back!

I love the connection with the nearby cities and the connection with the beach is perfect. I felt very safe. We love that there were a lot of things to do in the camp. The staff was very nice and kind. The beds were very comfortable. And also my dog was very happy and the dogs are very well accepted and there is a long beach and you can have a lot of space. We were also fascinated about pine trees and that there was a lot of shadow during our stay.

It’s very cute and quaint with a variety of camping types (personal tents and campers but also rentable mobile homes and tent houses). I love that there is not auto traffic though the campground which makes it quiet and safe for walking. The mobile home we rented was clean and comfortable. All linens were included which was appreciated as we were traveling by bike. The beach was really nice and the water was very shallow for a long ways out.

The area of the village is very comfortable. Lots of shade, which allows you to stay cool even on the hottest days. Nice little house/tent with everything you need (kitchen, shower, air conditioning and a wide terrace) Good sandy beach was close to our house - just 1 minute to the sea. Free canoes and paddle boards on the beach Nice seafood restaurant + pizza and ice-cream for kids directly on the beach.

The way the whole place was within the woodland. It was beautifully designed amongst the trees. Lots of great activities for kids and a great atmosphere all round. So many different pools to choose from if one was busy you could always find space at another. Showers were great with great water pressure, beds were comfortable with clean bedding so all got a good night's sleep.

Impeccably run campsite on beach in remote, non-touristy area. We admired the design of our 5 person lodge tent, with 2 BR and BA, full kitchen and deck. Great private restaurant on grounds and a store, very quiet, friendly. The area seemed safe since no one locked up their bikes except electric bikes. Good compact design of site, not too far to walk to the beach.

Such a fun family friendly environment. We rented bikes to ride around camp (though it wasn't too large to just walk) which was super fun. The beach was really nice, our cabin was super clean and modern. With an onsite grocery store, two restaurants, beach bar, rental chairs and more, you don't have to leave the site for anything.

There was so much to see, so many famous paintings, sculptures and buildings such as the cathedral with its climb to see the painted dome and the views. As well as this we wanted two days out of our week to visit Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena, so could not get all the many sites in Florence into our itinerary. There was also just walking around the shops, sitting in the restaurants, enjoying an ice cream or taking a drink at one of the quirky wine windows. We would love to return to see more of this beautiful city.

Pisa is a wonderful city to explore. It has so much to offer. From the train station up to the river there are side streets, main alleys to walk through and see modern shops but once you get across the river it is quite magical. So much history and side streets and beautiful buildings topped off with the tower complex which is just jaw dropping. We loved the restaurants the people and just everything really.

Siena is one of those iconic Tuscan cities that, no matter where you go or what you see, there is always more. No matter your tastes and preferences, Siena has it all. It’s big enough to explore on foot, to get lost in, to experience life as the locals do, to avoid tourists or just tag along with the crowd. Amazing food, wine, architecture, culture, history and all with a joyful vibe. It’s the Renaissance era in modern full force!

Lucca has so much to offer, from historic buildings, several old pretty squares, lots of bars and restaurants to suit all purses, and, of course a long shopping road with everything from high end fashion to tourist outlets. We pre-booked a guide for a few hours before we arrived, and that was money well spent as we learned so much that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. The guide spoke excellent English. Food was the usual Italian fayre, which, always has something on the menu for everyone. The prices were reasonable, especially in the main square, which is actually oblong, but that's another, very interesting story, which our guide told us. Think Aperol spritz for 3 euros a glass....

THis is a really beautiful hill town in Tuscany. There is a bit of a walk to get there but once you are there, you will enjoy the pedestrian area. I enjoyed visiting the cathedral and just wandering. We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant whose name i can't remember - sorry - many nice restaurants - Lots of interesting medieval sites to explore. This is also a good jumping off spot for other hill towns in the area. You do have to park below so it is a bit of a steep walk to get to the town but worth it. This was one of my favorites in Tuscany.

After a 12 day tour of Spain, France, and Italy, we found Portoferraio very relaxing and beautiful. We spent most of our time at our hotel because everything we needed was right there - from the pool and beach to the dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The sunsets every evening were stunning! We enjoyed our adventure of driving to Procchio Beach where we rented chairs and an umbrella on the sandy beach and enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear sea, eating delicious pizza at a nearby restaurant, and stopping at a small stand for a gelato before we left.
