Venice is a great city.
Venice is a great city. The location of this villa is out of the chaos of St. Mark’s Square but has lots of restaurants around it. The water taxi was right in front so going into the main area was never a problem. The managers of the property were very helpful in setting up transportation both from the train station and to the airport. The property was very clean, kitchen well stocked and comfortable.Guest review byjoanneUnited States - Review score

Verona is a delightful clean city with narrow streets, many old buildings and upmarket shopping. Whilst busy during the summer opera season, it is far less frenetic than Venice and has more to offer for a three night stay. Visitors, in my experience, are more discerning than the hordes in Venice. It is also close to Lake Garda for day visits to Sirmione, for example. Buy the Verona Pass for good value.Guest review byTrevorUnited Kingdom - Review score
Great destination for a peaceful and relaxing vacation.
Great destination for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. There were no crowds in May, I don't know how it would be in the summer season, I'm not a fan of crowds. Activities and food for everyone's taste. Soft sand, opportunities for walking, cycling..Guest review bySvetlanaNorth Macedonia - Review score

We were advised to stay in Mestre, rather than Venice, to save some money, but that was a mistake. Mestre is a tourist junction town, so the restaurants that we went to were overpriced and of poor quality. There was live music, but it was not a good scene, and too loud. The M9 museum was great, and it was almost empty when we were there. Next time we will stay in Venice proper.Guest review byLincolnUnited States - Review score

Friendly atmosphere, vivid nightlife, although less posh than the nearby Jesolo. Many restaurants and take-away buffets. Various shops to look around. Several outdoor facilities if you don't want to lay on the beach all the time. No programs however in case the weather is not good (raining). The sandy beach is excellent, stretches widely along Bibione. If you book a room in Bibione you will get 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for free, vs many other places in Italy where you have to pay 10-15 EUR / person on an average private beach. If you stay a week or so, it is well worth to drive to Punta Sabbioni and take boat ride to Venezia.Guest review byAnonymousHungary - Review score
My wife and I spent 5 nights in Padua.
My wife and I spent 5 nights in Padua. We visited neighbouring towns of Vincenza and Verona. A lot of history to explore. Make sure you have good walking shoes, the cobblestone roads can be hard on the feet. Plenty of shopping and excellent dining establishments. The City TRAM was really good, better than the over priced Taxi service. People of Padua were very friendly.Guest review byKCanada - Review score

Towns keeps the vibe of Garda lake very well, a lot of restaurants and lovely architecture. It is easy to get around and as all places has easy ferry connection to other locations. Big plus for proximity of gardaland and viva safari park - I highly recommend this one, best value for the money so far but book at least half a day and bring good shoes as it is quite a hike.Guest review byFelekPoland - Review score

On arrival the porter takes the stress out of finding a car park and they park your car for you. You are greeted with a glass of bubbles, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The buffet was the best I had in Italy in the 5 weeks of travelling here.Guest review bymareeNew Zealand - Review score
Great area for visiting othe towns on the lake.
Great area for visiting othe towns on the lake. Great for walking with path to both Garda and Lazise with bars along the way if you felt the need to stop. These areas were also connected by the ferry if you only anted to walk one way. Plenty of choice of resturants and bars. We were there over a bank holiday and it was very busy but very entertaining.Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - Review score
Malcesine is great place to stay on Lake Garda.
Malcesine is great place to stay on Lake Garda. The old town area is full of places to visit including a fabulous castle. Lake ferries come and go all day and give visitors the opportunity to explore other towns around the lake. There are dozens of restaurants, bars and shops to explore and ice cream lovers are well catered for. The cable car ride up to Mont Baldo is a must with fantastic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Cobbled streets require sensible comfy footwear.Guest review byDoyle
