I like Pangkor!
I like Pangkor! I love the nature! I love to walk on the beach. The water was clean. However, government need to improve more on the facilities, more on the ambiance and so on. Since this year is visit perak 2017, action fast is needed from governmnt.

Food is great, lots of choices. Easy to get around. There are lots of places to go and explore but you need a car to bring you around. My favorite is Bukit Merah laketown Resort 30mins from Taiping is an eco-tourism complex with a water park, eco park and where the Orangutan Island sanctuary is. Then the Charcoal Factory (Kuala Sepatang), Matang Mangrove forest reserve river boat ride in the fishing village formerly Port Well train station. Burmese Pool and the military cemetery. The famous Taiping Lake Garden, Kota Ngah Ibrahim landmark Museum, Anton Coffee factory, and Perak Museum. Maxwell hill great to see nature on a jeep ride. Taiping has so many old buildings dated back to 1800 around the town. There is one particular coffee shop we discovered (newly opened) its Yinn's Patisserie at 57, Jalan Barrack. This 1800's building was restored and the interior was beautifully decorated. The owner Mr Yeap Thean Hock designed the fabulous interior, he was so accommodating to tell us the whole history of the place. The cake and coffee was great as well as the ambience. Enjoyed Taiping very much.

A well-located hotel with a dedicated side door through to the new shopping mall. Sound-proofing. Great view from the pool which is long enough to do some lengths. Excellent Chinese restaurant nearby called HM Ancient Delights. Lake Gardens a must; Perak Museum currently being renovated (to a high standard) so limited displays atm but still worth it - don't miss the grand old cars at the rear. So easy and cheap to get around using Grab (Uber).

For a budget hotel, sun inns was a good choice as the rooms very spacious.. standard room can fit 3 adults. Comfortable, clean and strategic locations. Staff really friendly. Parking also easy. Surely my family choice when we travel to manjung perak.

We loved our stay at Pangkor Laut. It is a beautiful resort on a small jungle island. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our room, the view, the poolside, the beach, the spa, everything was perfect. You can take Shuttle busses around the resort, however we did everything by foot. (be aware it is not a flat island and it goes quite uphill/downhill to the beach). You see a lot of animals (monkeys, hornbills, etc.), which is very nice. The resort has a nice relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful ambiance and offers very good quality of service and food. We will for sure be back.
