Everything was EXCELLENT! The whole resort is in a gorgeous location of a petit fishing village. There's a charming promenade by the water, lots of restaurants nearby. At the resort you have a free access to the indoor & outdoor pool, jacuzzi and 2 diferentes saunas and there's a lot of activities in the high season, would recommend for families with kids. Room was spacious and well equipped, very comfy bed. Very nice and helpful people at the reception. Can't wait to come back!

We did not know that it was a party town and throw in the...

We did not know that it was a party town and throw in the World Cup and it gets amplified. We just went with the flow, and enjoyed the games as well. Albufeira does have quiet areas to escape to when it gets too much. The locals are very friendly in our experience. Great variety of food and places to drink, great beaches close by or a short rideshare away. Be in the excitement or easily find your own quiet spot with just the sound of wind and waves. Great nearby hiking and boat tours to keep you busy if you want.

Lagos was really lovely.

Lagos was really lovely. This was my second time in Portugal and my first time to Lagos. The beaches near town are exceptional. Many accommodations are within walking distance to the beaches and town. Town is fun and lively with many great restaurants to visit. The waterfront is clean and lovely to stroll along. Lovely little city with great beaches and a 3 night stay was perfect.

People were very friendly and the city is very clean. The ferry to Farol takes around 50min and then beach there is great. Pack a sun umbrella as there is no shade. The bars there only take cash. Busses also only take cash. Highly recommend Chelsea cafe (superb selection of cakes and staff are fluent in English) and camelo cafe very cheap food and drinks but only accepts cash).

Excellent, from Hotel could see view of Sea , staff were Excellent, Beach is the best, boardwalks, plenty of restaurants n bar's at front, Bar's n restaurants up on the main strip , all places eaten were excellent , staff excellent, overall the people are so polite helpful , clean place , good policeing, Happy place 😀 will be back , must say driver's are polite always giving way when crossing roads 😀

Vilamoura is on the up.

Vilamoura is on the up. Money seems to be invested and it was noticeably cleaner and smarter than our previous visits. Its easy to get to from the airport - less than 30 minutes transfer - and the roads are good, plenty of parking, signposts perhaps less so! The marina is lovely, but can get quite busy, especially of an evening, but the wide choice of bars and restaurants mean prices are quite good value. If you go one or two streets back from the waterfront, the quality remains similar, but the prices drop too. Falesia beach is a lovely beach, probably the better of the two beaches either side of the marina, and The Thai Beach Club is great for lunch, daybeds, or dinner, and goes crazy at weekends!

It's a lovely town, with some lovely restaurants. Not as hectic or mad as Albufeira, so Carvoeiro suited us better. Our stay coincided with the the Black & White festival night which was great fun.

The best part of Alvor is the restaurants, all reasonably priced and superb sea food. It's a small white washed fishing village. We went for a menu of the day at Alvor wine for 14 euros. We had a pate starter and some fresh seabas fillets plus a dessert!

The Villa Location is awful and not at all convenient for Tavira in our opinion. Being in the middle of a building site is not our idea of a relaxing holiday and the fact that the description was so misleading ruined our holiday. We also incurred the additional cost of booking into a (much nicer) hotel in a great location. The whole experience has been extremely stressful,

Nice area with long sandy beaches ,harbour, lot of shops, fish and fruit markets,restaurants,eateries, playgrounds for kids, pleasant promenade. There is even a swing at the end of the beach to make lovely photos with an ocean view. You can book a lot of water activities and boat trips on any budget. Local people are very nice and friendly. Fresh fish, vegetables and fruits are amazing.

Our visits to Armacao de Pera have been out of season so reasonably quiet, perfect for us. The beach is one of the longest in the Algarve plus a boardwalk which extends for miles. Excellent for those who want long walks. There are small more sheltered sections of beach immediately in front of the central area for sunbathers and swimmers. Wide selection of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of central accommodation. Large Lidl supermarket close to front with a large selection of smaller supermarkets and shops in the central area. Recently completed car park on beach front costs but convenient. Not as lively as some resorts and not to everyone's taste, but we like it.
