Wonderfuly beautiful hotel. Our room was very nice and stylish and the view from window just amazing - as i saw most of rooms have a view to the lake and its so lovely. Room was spacious, very clean and had all amenities (ironing board and iron and etc.). Bathroom was big, with window you can open for ventilation and hot drying rack. Bed was so comfortable, sleep was great. There were free parking and quite a few available spaces to park if you come by car. But the best part was staff. We ate dinner at their restaurant and it was so good! Menu simple and short, but food and wine pairings fresh and tasty. Waiters were very polite and attentive, service was great. The dinners really elevated our stay from good to amazing.

We had a room in one of the cottages. It was very clean and good size. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was perfect. We had an amazing breakfast at the Kosta Boda Hotel too. Will stay there again.

Jönköping is a peaceful city with beautiful scenery, but we found that there were limited attractions and activities for a five-day stay. We visited Vätterstranden Beach, but we didn't swim because the beach and water did not seem very clean, and there were very few people around, so the atmosphere felt a bit quiet and boring for us. Instead, we ended up spending more time at Rosenlundsbadet, which we enjoyed much more. Overall, we think Jönköping is better suited for a short 2–3 day getaway rather than a longer vacation.

Highlights include the county museum and the Kronan exhibit, the public garden in the old city, Kalmar castle and the interesting downtown. beautiful views if the Baltic and nice beaches. Chill walkable and lovely.

The hotel is in the center of town, a 5 minute walk to the train station. Public parking is next to the hotel; after 6 pm it is free until 9 am. Though the hotel appears old on the outside, it has very nice interior and rooms. The rooms had good lighting and Wi-fi Breakfast was excellent.

A town with less population.

A town with less population. I recommend to stay near lake or within the forest, provided you have your own vehicle to commute. Most of the shops and restaurants are located in the center of the town.

My son, 12-years old, had a floorball cup (Jönköping Fairplay Cup). Jönköping is about 16min drive from Huskvarna. So I didn't get to see much of Huskvarna during this visit. However, it's very nice during the summer.

The location is amazing, and the pizza in the restaurant is great. We did not expect to find such good pizza in such a tiny place. :) It's dog-friendly, which is a great plus! The house we booked was well-equipped and in very good condition overall. However, I wish the management had taken better care to check if the previous owners had cleaned properly after leaving. It wasn't disgustingly dirty, but the previous occupants definitely did not follow the cleaning instructions. There were also too few cleaning supplies, and I wish the rugs were labeled—toilet rugs, for example, should be labeled so people don't use them to clean other parts. ;-)

Cute and calm town.

Cute and calm town. Not so many tourist attractions in town itself, but very pleasant and friendly place. Everything is in a walkable distance. I didn't have enough time to enjoy the town itself (business trip, with rather tight agenda), especially having in mind that it was winter and it is getting dark already at 15.30h. I do believe it is much better to visit it during the summer, when it is possible to enjoy different outdoor activities, and to plan enough time to make short trips to nearby smaller towns/villages.

Kalmar is a beautiful city of beautiful people at heart. People were helpful in giving direction, supporting us in language translation so very helpful. It has beautiful sites: the museum, harbour, castle, university, churches and big shopping malls and beautiful beach fromts

I was in Vaxjo to research my family ancestors.

I was in Vaxjo to research my family ancestors. I used the Emmigrant House resources. I was sorry the the Smaland museum was temporarily closed for renovations. It think it would be a great place to visit.

Lonely Planet describes Oskarshamn as (paraphrasing) "...

Lonely Planet describes Oskarshamn as (paraphrasing) "pleasant enough, but not interesting". The main reason to come here us to take a ferry, after all. I got to spend more time here than planned thanks to a last-minute ferry cancellation; while Oskarshamn is not a bad place to be stuck in for a night, it's definitely not something to put on your bucket list. Notes: - Restaurant Cecil is decent - Adels Hotel is very close to the Gotland Ferry terminal and quite cheap; the fact there is very little personnel on-site makes for an odd experience, though. - Oskarshamn is pretty small and walkable, but somewhat hilly.
