From the moment I pulled in, I loved the location and setting. So did my service dog Bodri, my 9 yr old Hungarian puli. The place is amazing with so much to do. Never short on any activity. Oscar, Jeff and Cory were all amazing, helpful, and Jeff makes the best pizza I’ve ever tasted here at the lake. I can’t wait to come back with my sister and stay in cabin number 10 again. It’s got the perfect view of the swimming pool and the entire cove!

We loved staying close to the water and having the view of the lake from our balcony. The water activities were great and the staff at both the pool and lake were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable and had a Murphy bed in the wall that our kids enjoyed. The taco truck was good but margaritas were expensive.

Branson

I love Branson. Besides the friendliness of the people, the attractions, shows, and activities are great. There's always something for everyone to do whether young/old or outdoor/indoor activity. We can't seem to get everything on our list done so usually we plan our next trip.

Kansas City

I asked booking.com to cancel bc I had to take care of my sick sister at the hospital. And they say they will try to get me a refund but I had to request a refund from the hotel. I called the hotel and they said they can't find my reservation and that they didn't know anything about it. That booking.com is the one that doesn't want to gone a refund. I tried to contact booking.com and it the message to booking.com was rejected or undeliverable. I will tell everybody I can about booking.com being thieves and never book with you.

St. Louis has a great music scene.
Saint Louis

St. Louis has a great music scene. The Symphony is fantastic. There are choral programs using the city's churches as venues. Washington University has a vibrant music school with many performances. The National Blues Museum on Washington Street is worth a stop, and you'll love the Sugar-free BBQ next door. And Ted Drew's Frozen Custard on Chippewa St (Rt. 66) is the best I've ever tasted. There are areas of town that need attention, as in any big city, but it appears the mayor and others are trying to figure it out. Had a great discussion with the owner of Chris's Restaurant near the municipal court about city development. He is very involved. Of course there is the Chuck Berry history and the marvelous collections of iconic memorabilia at Blueberry Hill Restaurant on Delmar. Absolutely worth a visit for a burger and immersion into rock and roll history. The City Museum is the most funky indoor playground/industrial artscape you'll ever visit. Kids and adults love it. And, the Scott Joplin house offers in-depth history on the Ragtime author's life, in the room where he composed "The Entertainer" and a number of other rags. They'll play some for you on the old player piano there! And, of course, there is the Gateway Arch on the Mississippi! Go up it, visit the museum, tour the old courthouse and learn about the unfortunate Dred Scott case. He is buried not far away. Overall, St. Louis and environs has a lot to offer for a weekend or longer stay.

Springfield

The thing I liked about Springfield was the fantastic caverns and the aquarium and we found a route 66 car museum so thought that was pretty cool and found a old train yard but they weren't doing tours at that time they were just cleaning getting for the season which I believe started in April or May but anyway the people were very kind and let us explore one of the cars they had open so all in all my stay in Springfield was pretty good

Columbia

I am through-traveling, going back home to the East, close to where I grew up in New Jersey, but just over the border in PA. So I didn't explore Columbia, just went to the hotel, and will leave to continue east today. Construction made it tough and I had to u-turn and backtrack, but I'm unfamiliar and it's construction season, so some of that is just to be expected.
