New Jersey is best known for its Atlantic coastline and lively shore towns. Famous for sandy beaches, boardwalks, and cultural diversity, it offers family-friendly fun and rewarding solo escapes, from seaside amusement parks to farmland and arts scenes.

Top highlights are the Jersey Shore beaches and views of the Statue of Liberty from Liberty State Park. Don’t miss a sunset ferry or ride along a bustling boardwalk. Stay in Jersey City for Manhattan access, Cape May for Victorian charm and family beaches, and Princeton for college-town culture, museums, and trips.

This was my first solo trip since my husband passed away and the Bolero did an amazing job hosting me. I stayed here right in the beginning of the season so it was very quiet. Being about a block from the boardwalk the location was exceptional for hopping on and off for food or entertainment. The hotel does have a restaurant and 2 bars but I really wasn't there for that type of entertainment. The room was exceptional and clean! I got a soaking tub and there's a TV in that room and it was the perfect set up for me!

Harrowed by hell's half-quarter, the visitor is beleaguered...
Atlantic City

Harrowed by hell's half-quarter, the visitor is beleaguered by every step through this demesne of Mammon. It out-Herods Herod with its every aesthetic selection, with its every garish odor, with the hubris of its assumptions. The Chechen sunrise is made glorious by comparison to this festering wound in the soil of Christendom. I have no specific opposition to gambling, but perhaps I ought to, if its result is this horrifying disgrace of rock and rubble that I beheld. The local people were actually uncommonly friendly, and I seemed to like them on a cultural level. The boardwalk itself resembled my hometown of Asbury Park's boardwalk, though comparatively lacking in gaieties, as Asbury Park's are full of amusements and small businesses, but the Atlantic City boardwalk was barren save for one amusement pier, and visually endless, like a boardwalk desert somehow. This was an interesting contrast, like, perhaps Asbury Park, which had its own period of economic deterioration and no shortage of municipal corruption, could have become as horrible as this, but, for whatever cause of distinction, Asbury Park's decay was beautiful and susceptible to revival, while Atlantic City is a boil on the neck of the Republic. There is no benefit whatever in a visit to this risen hell.

Jersey City

Jersey city was a great spot to stay for our NYC trip. Just a 1 stop PATH train stop to Manhattan meant we could get a great size apartment for a family of 4 for a very reasonable price over the expensive Xmas/new year’s period. Very clean and quiet space to stay, with views of the Manhattan skyline.

Liked there were restaurants and stores around the hotel. First night we landed my luggage was stolen from the NJ United carousel. Very disheartening because I know what he was, but the police highly suggested I not go and try and retrieve it. Needless to say, it was never returned.

Wildwood

I have been coming to Wildwood for years with my family. We love the boardwalk. The beach is plentiful and clean. I love getting up early to watch the sunrise on the beach with my kids. The arcades are fun. Food is delicious. There are plenty of options to choose from. I live in Delaware but I don’t go to Delaware beaches. We go to Wildwood NJ!! Wildwood has been updating a lot the past few years. The have different events almost year round. I love a slice of Sam’s pizza and ice cold Birch Beer while walking the boardwalk. There are plenty of places to get an alcoholic drink too. They even have a stage with live music on the boardwalk. They also have plenty of rides and even 2 different water parks. It is a family friendly environment where you can make plenty of memories. It is absolutely my family’s favorite place to go!!

Princeton

Princeton is a beautiful and interesting place to visit. There is so much history and art to explore and study . Such an accessible town to walk about. It's impossible to be bored here. Lots of attention to beauty and presentation: architecture and landscape . Since this was a family visit, I didn't have enough time to enjoy the musical offerings. We'll be back.
