New Jersey

New Jersey is best known for its Atlantic coastline and lively shore towns. Famous for sandy beaches, boardwalks, and cultural diversity, it offers family-friendly fun and rewarding solo escapes, from seaside amusement parks to farmland and arts scenes.

Top highlights are the Jersey Shore beaches and views of the Statue of Liberty from Liberty State Park. Don’t miss a sunset ferry or ride along a bustling boardwalk. Stay in Jersey City for Manhattan access, Cape May for Victorian charm and family beaches, and Princeton for college-town culture, museums, and trips.

Atlantic City

Look while AC itself has had its economic hardships and has some rough areas, the steel pier and beaches are very nice as well as the boardwalk. Stay at a nice hotel like the Hard Rock and you have a great time. The food is great, amenities and casino are great and the boardwalk strolls and beach are lovely. Steel Pier is great.

If you are travelling as group with limited budget to see...
Newark

If you are travelling as group with limited budget to see the main attractions of NYC, then choosing Newark seems the best option. Living anywhere inside the NYC is very expensive and does not offer much of an advantage compare to living somewhere 30 minutes a away, i.e., Newark. Newark Penn station is a major train hub and takes you anywhere close or far. It's also is major bus/coach station. From here, downtown NYC is 30 minutes away by subway. You can go to long island within an hour. The neighbourhood is a mix of Portuguese, Spanish, Mexicans and other south americans. That means great and lot of eating options from bakeries to bars and tavernas and eateries. It offers more reasonably priced options to stay. Best avoid driving into the NYC as it includes tolls either way crossing the tunnels or bridges.

Wildwood Crest

The crest is very nice we have visiting there for over 25 years but the hotel Coliseum Ocean Resort is the worst visit we ever encountered. The room was uninhabitable mold and mildew reeked. The hotel tried to mask it with bleach and chemicals but the mixture was noxious. The clerk agreed that we could not stay and now the owner after not responding for over week is running away from his obligation to provide a safe and clean room.

We loved Cape May.
Cape May

We loved Cape May. The beaches are great, the town vibe is nice, and some areas can be crowded, but you have options depending on whether you want to be in the center of the action. There are many options for things to do, from hiking to lying on the beach, visiting museums, and great restaurants to choose from. We have visited in the winter for the Candlelight house tours, and during the summer time, it's a great town to visit any time of the year.
