The location was perfect as a base to move around the island, with Waikiki beach right there, multiple shopoing areas, restaurants, entertainment and everything you might need. The apartment is very cozy, with all the appliances and utilities that you need, super clean and everything worked perfectly. The host was very communicative, kind and accesible. Thank you very much Helen for letting us staying at your place. We would recommend it to everyone and we would repeat if we were to come back to Oahu.

Good location for exploring Oahu’s north shore. Walking access to beach opposite and short walk to Polynesian Cultural Centre which offers cultural shows (make sure you book ahead), a restaurant and food trucks) and shops. 30 min drive to Waimea Bay and Valley. 50 min drive to historic Haleiwa. 30 min drive to Kualoa Ranch. Clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff and decent facilities including a small bistro offering limited but decent food options.

Char’s place is amazing by any account! The localisation is breathtaking, the view from balcony directly to the ocean is something you can’t get enough of and the apartment is delightfully decorated, with all the necessary amenities (and much more). The private pool is also pretty cool, but when you got sort of a private beach by the ocean, you don’t even use the pool that much. Also the neighbours are very nice and helpful. West Oahu is simply beautiful.

Booked here on our last day in Oahu so we could shower before heading to the airport. I selected the hotel due to the location and availability of an airport shuttle, both of which fit our needs. The hotel staff were pleasant. The room was clean and adequate for what we needed. There was a small selection of free drinks available at the bar as part of the booking. I would consider staying here again if I needed a place to freshen up near the airport.

This is an iconic Waikiki hotel in a central location, right across from a great swimming beach and a two minute walk to the Duke statue. Make sure to check out one of the Sunrise Shack locations nearby if you are looking for a healthy snack or pick me up. I enjoyed reading about the founders story, a female Chinese immigrant who moved to Oahu when she was 12 and later went on to property early on, including this location.

The apartment was clean and homely with everything you need to cook, relax or take to the beach, Only a 5 min drive or 15 min walk to shops and restaurants, and parking on the property. Anne who lives in the connecting house was super friendly and helpful. This would be a great location to explore the Eastern side of Oahu or as a base for those who don't want to stay in Honolulu.

We stayed two weeks on Oahu. This hotel was perfect to explore the island (all directions) and park the car for free in front of the hotel. Many options to eat and shop next door. Hotel in rather good shape for US hotels. No hidden fee. Washing/drying machines on site. Safe neighborhood. Beach with car nearby (nice: Ko Olina!) but no typical beach hotel

Great location, 5 min. walk to the main street of Waikiki. Spacious rooms, clean, the small kitchen with a table and chairs is a big plus. Communication with the stuff was great, we had couple requests and they were resolved immediately. Convenient parking under the building, we used it the whole week. Small quiet hotel, all you need for a week on Oahu.

The resort is beautiful , real luxury in Oahu . Its large ! It’s 1 hour away from Waikiki which we liked and the location gives you access to the north shore and the eastern part of the island .

The Kahala is like and old friend,;warm, kind, and beautiful! She is environmentally conscious and sustainable. And...she has a dolphin lagoon!

Love the location. Walking distance to everything I wanted.

The friendly service. Nothing was any trouble. The staff at the desk , especially Richard and Sharon were very helpful. The other staff were also great.

The staff was amazing, from dropping off the luggage to celebrating our anniversary!!!! Every in and out had smiles for days.

We loved the staff and their friendliness and helpfulness. The live entertainment at night was wonderful. The food and drinks were delicious. Accessibility to the beach and other areas were just what we had hoped for.

With my wife we enjoyed the place since it was close to the sea and we had the opportunity to relax for few days in such a lovely area.

Room and kitchen. Fast elevators. Nice touch of providing 2 bottles of water per day to guests. Nice touch to provide one complementary ice cream to guests.

I honestly don't know why this hotel's average rating is 6.5. They are very good. The hotel is simple but very clean and tidy. The service is excellent. They provide a free shuttle service from the airport that is super fast. There is coffee available in the lobby from 4 am, which is great because we leave early for activities in Oahu. The hotel has free parking. The room has a microwave and refrigerator. I read that many people complained about the noise from a nearby construction project, which is now over and that it will greatly increase the value of stays there because there is a monarail leaving the airport for Waikiki and it stops right around the corner from the hotel. Excellent! I will be back many times!

Beautiful well located hotel that is in a quiet oceanside area. Rooms were cosy with a remarkable 'auto' toilet . Buffet breakfast was filling with good choice although same everyday. Quite expensive given the $US currently, but worth it for the calm and inviting environment.

Had a fabulous stay at the White Sands Hotel, our bed was huge and comfortable and the room amenities far exceeded my expectations. The pool area and coffee/bar were fantastic for lounging for the day and the hotel was super helpful letting us borrow beach towels and chairs. 100% would stay again and recommend to anyone.
