Mount Juliet Estate is set in 500 acres of Irish Countryside. The historic estate is located in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny and dates back to 1757. I loved absolutely everything.

With a history dating back to 1180, Kilkea Castle provides accommodation set on 180 acres of woodland, gardens and a golf course. Breakfast was fabulous and a special thanks to Catriona in the restaurant for making breakfast an absolute delight

The grounds are gorgeous, our room was beautiful and the food exceptional. We had to leave early on our last day and the kitchen made us a pack of food and a coffee for the car. Within 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxurious hotel and spa boasts an 18-hole championship golf course and a 20-metre swimming pool. I was hopeful but cautious because I'd read very mixed reviews before we went. But honestly our three nights were absolutely fantastic, the perfect rest. I can't wait to go back. The food was exceptionally well cooked with a good range of choices. The staff (especially in the dining room) could not have been more friendly, professional and personable. It went beyond what I had hoped for and I have bookmarked Mount Wolsley as a perfect getaway and retreat.
