It has a restaurant, and offers complimentary WiFi access in its public areas. I was astounded when we arrived. it’s pretty big complex, but done amazingly well: all wooden elements, batik accents, beautifully maintained. the common spaces are a pleasure to stroll around and the room itself was spacious, clean, with nice decor, huge bathroom and additional bathtub. loved it! on top of that the staff was helpful and kind, food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced

Sepilok
Sepilok Forest Edge Resort is a nature retreat in Sandakan, a 15-minute walk from the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Providing rooms in a natural environment, it has a plunge pool and free Wi-Fi in restaurant area. This is an absolutely fantastic property and resort. It is true to its name: it is at the edge of the forest and one of the further-removed properties in the area, if not the furthest. The staff is extremely responsive and will help you arrange anything that you wish to arrange in the area. I stayed in one of the basic chalets (so one step up above the dormitories) and it was amazing. If you have the money and it is at all possible, skip the dormitory and get the chalet. Yes, it's a price jump, but absolutely worth it. Spotlessly clean, drinking water upon request, wonderful private deck that I was obsessed with. Restaurant is top-notch. Air-con, which is a huge thing in Borneo. You should definitely follow their recommendations and make sure that you have a slip-off pair of shoes since you'll be walking between your accomodations and the restaurant pavillion frequently. Staff is extremely friendly. Anything that's within reason you ask for, you will get.

Lovely friendly staff. Wonderful food. We have stayed many times at this resort.
The resort is secluded with a beautiful private beach. Rooms are built to an extremely high standard with white marble every where. The staff have been helpful in every way. There are an abundance of monitor lizards, geckos, black squirrels, many song birds and insects
Friendly & helpful staff, clean rooms, nice swimming pool and nature setup of the resort. Great location.
Compared to a lot of other similar resorts, I have to say that there is not much to like
The staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions that we had. The hotel offers a nighttime jungle walk for RM25 each, which was great, we saw lots of different animals and insects. The room was very clean - we were given fresh towels and a bottle of water every day and our bed was made. The resort is a 5 minute walk from the orangutan sanctuary and the sunbear sanctuary, which is amazing. The breakfast was also very good (vegetarian options available)
Staffs are helpful and friendly, resort is very clean and comfortable. Food are ok.
Communication and self check-in/out was very easy. Our apartment had a lovely pool & sea view and came with everything we could have needed! We loved the pool and an easy accessible beach is just a few meters from the pool away. The sunsets were magical! The resort comes with a restaurant, which comes in handy!
It was a quiet resort, not many guest, I was able to relax. There were many wild animals in the resort, I saw monkey, lizard, squirrels and otter. The environment was nice. Staffs were nice.
The resort is located on a very scenic part of the beach. Access & stay is secure with no safety concerns. Wonderful buffet breakfast spread but somewhat repetitive as one would expect from any hotel breakfast. Room is spacious and brighly lit with a very fast internet connection.
