Malangen Resort offers rooms with fjord views and self-catering cottages and apartments with a seating area and a bathroom with shower. This was a last minute booking when we were caught with a snow storm and our car went into a ditch. We managed to snag a holiday home for 2 nights in December 2024. The home faces the sea and fjord , it was stunning even if it is only 3h of daylight. Every holiday home is ideally placed to get the best view. Kitchen is well equipped you can cook up anything there. We appreciated the attentive and well mannered staff they were kind and never impatient with us. Our heater tripped in the night and they came to repair it immediately on realising it - no direct communication with the concierge at the main hotel so we had to walk to the main hotel in the snow (we enjoyed the walk though - no cars and the landscape with cottages were beautiful anyway) We built snow men at our private terrace and we had the entire large living space to ourselves. It was luxurious. Tip: there is a professional (or family run - depending on how you look at it) husky ride facility called “Into Nature” just 5 minutes away. We went there , they were the absolute highlight activity of our entire Scandinavian trip. Quentin was a great host very informative and friendly. The dogs were well cared for and happy and obedient. The landscape they run the husky ride is out of a fairy tale - try them!
