Everything was perfect. The place was so peaceful, situated in between banana plantations. The sunset views are so beautiful. Rooms have exactly the perfect size. The breakfast was probably one of the best we ever had in any hotel around the world. So well done, everyday there would be a special and the ingredients are mostly locally sourced. Highly recommend this hotel.

The "hotel" (only 4 small villas) is in a beautiful location with outstanding views. The small villa's are very private and far from each other and beautiful as well. The bed was super comfortable, shower facilities great. Very nicely decorated unit (living room etc). Very nice pool and sauna (it was too cold for us to go in the pool). We had 2 dinners on site with the hosts that were very nice and great to meet the other guests and the hosts. The location is on the north east of the island which is the wilder part of the island. Breakfast is self-catered: you get fresh bread in the morning and have fresh eggs, cheeses, salami etc in the fridge and make your own breakfast. There is a very nice real coffee machine and ground coffee provided as well.

Luxury villa with private heated pool , garden and views of the sea and mountains . The location of the villa is absolutely great. Close to the beach, restaurants, supermarket and all the island attractions (by car). The accommodation is well equipped with everything a family of 12 people and 3 generations could need. Astonishing views of the sea and the mountains.

Savoy Calheta Beach, facing the Atlantic Ocean, is located on Calheta Beach. This 4-star hotel features indoor and outdoor pools, spa, gym and access to the sea via the beach. Everything is perfect. Location, staff, food, pools, beach, live music (samba) evenings, surroundings, nature..second year in a row now in Calheta. Definitely coming back again

My wife and I absolutely LOVED this place. Very clean, well organized, super breakfast (my wife felt there should have been more vegetable options, though). The staff was very nice and helpful. We had a very nice woman at the hotel set up for us a very nice excursion on the western side of the island. The pools here are great, they have a sauna, jacuzzi and massage options on site. A hair salon is also on site. The hotel arranged a nice taxi to the airport after our stay. Our room was good-sized, GREAT view of the sea. Comfy beds. Maid service every day with clean sheets and plenty of towels. The bathroom was superb with lots of counter space. The WiFi worked well. Elevators were quick. We feel we should have stayed longer!!! The location of this hotel is awesome. It's a block away from the main street that leads right into all the shopping and restaurants, cafes, etc. in the center of the city. It's also an easy walk to the port and the old city. It is very close to the ferry to Porto Sancho. The hotel is in a nice, quiet spot up on a hill with several restaurants that are steps away (they range from an Irish pub to fine dining). We are DEFINITELY returning and we will stay here for sure. The city of Funchal... and the entire island of Madeira... are absolutely AWESOME!

Surrounded by tropical gardens, the seaside Pestana Grand Ocean Resort Hotel features the largest salt water pool on the Madeira Island. Reception staff on check in were welcoming, efficient and pleasant. Room and seaview were excellent. Pool area was enormous with a huge pool and and many sun lounges. The meal package of breakfast and dinner was superb. Excellent variety of food in the restaurant and great wait staff service. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

The 5-star Vidamar Resorts Madeira is situated on Madeira's southern coast, just few minutes' walk from central Funchal. It features 3 salt-water infinity pools for adults and one for children. Nice hotel near the ocean with an excellent view and beautiful garden. tasty and diverse food. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. WI-FI is also ok (downloaded videos without any problem). I really liked the way the hotel treats its guests. also the beach was great and with a ramp to the ocean. the territory itself is clean and neat. I’m pretty satisfied with my staying at the hotel!
