We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SloveniaThe breakfast is very basic, which didn't bother me as much as the fact that the food was cold (eggs, sausages, etc.). Poorly maintained warmth. This issue was a bit strange: every 20-30 minutes the power in our room would go out, and we had to remove the card and reinsert it for it to work again for another 20-30 minutes. Since we only stayed for 2 nights, we didn't pay too much attention to it. The parking garage is quite narrow.
The room was nice (it would have been even better to have a room with a sea view). Breakfast is also possible outside by the pool. They have 2 large pools with plenty of sun loungers and direct access to the beach. The location is fine, as there is a very nice walk towards the city center and lots of restaurants, bars, etc.

United KingdomThe breakfast needs a little more work. Buffet style but more choice needed. Also a kettle to boil everyone’s cup of tea isn’t very efficient when breakfast rush hour is going on. They didn’t have any restaraunt onsite but we have stayed before summer season is fully open so may have something coming soon.
Luxurious hotel with beautiful pool and beach area. Delightful night spent here at San Angelo. 15 mins walk into Sarande town itself. The staff were very helpful when we arrived. Free parking onsite. Our room had a lovely decor to it. Only been open a year and to a nice high standard. The pool area and beach area are outstanding. A little gem away from the busy-ness of Sarande itself. But still close enough to go into. Our room had a balcony with sea view and bath tub within room. Amazing to spend the night here. The beds surrounding pool and beach areas were gorgeous and very comfy to lie on.

New ZealandThe only thing they could improve on is the breakfast, which was not good for a lovely hotel like this.

Omg I don’t know where to start ! I was looking for a beeak during spring to relax before maddness of summer! I get that and more. The room Like the photo even more beautiful go for the seaview room you will be speechless! The staff was amazing specially the guy during day time at the reception 💕 He really look well after me during all my stay. The pool and private beach make me really disconnect I felt like I was in a litlle bubble of peace! I was there low season as well so. They are bulging a spa as well. Breakfast is not buffet but you will be really full with the chef choice and you can ask for more this is only low season. My room was very clean modern the view amazing. I extended my stay there at the end and then I was sad to leave 😅

PolandI had a great experience at this hotel, thanks to the extremely nice and accommodating staff. They were always willing to help and made us feel welcome. The hotel's amenities are impressive, and I think they're best utilized during the summer season when the hotel is likely to be bustling with activity. The breakfast was a mixed bag - while it was filling and we could ask for extras, the options were limited and the same every day. I'm not sure if this changes during the summer, but it was decent nonetheless. One thing that stood out to me was the hotel's focus on aesthetics, which I think overshadowed comfort in some areas. The design is sleek and modern, earning it a 10/10 in my book. However, the bathroom was a letdown - it was tiny, and the shower had a persistent leak. This might be a general issue, but it was frustrating nonetheless. Despite some quirks, the views from the hotel were simply amazing. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone with an open mind. Be prepared for some trade-offs, but you'll likely enjoy your stay if you're flexible and willing to look beyond the minor issues.

United KingdomThere were no sunbeds by the pool or beach. Breakfast was just "ok". Its a bit far from centre so if you dont have a car , you have to walk 25 minutes back and forth. There is only a ramp and no stairs leading towards the main road.
The location was bit nice with a private beach, however, we went there in the mid of november and there were no sunbeds by the pool or beach. The weather was really nice and warm during those days and having sunbeds by the sea would have been a plus. Staff was friendly. Overall , I think sarande is the place to visit in summer.

AustraliaThe low season just started, that may explain the fact that the restaurant service was super limited, as were the amenities (no spa available). Nevertheless, the fees we paid were not low at €100/night so we didn’t entirely feel like we got our money’s worth. It feels like a new hotel operation that needs to iron out some operational kinks (bed wasn’t fully made and there wasn’t any duvet cover, concierge staff couldn’t help us order dinner from another restaurant when hotel restaurant was closed, taxi fees to bus station are not negotiated).
The hotel is newly renovated and has beautiful views of the sea and islands. Our room was small but beautiful and the location is great. It looks just like the pictures

AustraliaOur room was the panoramic one but it wasn’t advised that the balcony was shared and that was very uncomfortable to know when arrived there. The hotel didn’t look completely finished and some parts seemed still under construction. The breakfast was horrible. No matter how early we showed up, everything was cold. We were made to pay for our coffee at breakfast if we wanted one made by staff, as they stated they had instant available that we could make itself. They have to work on many things to be called a luxury hotel, but after looking at the reviews it seems like they are making an effort to fix the many complaints in the reviews.
The view was beautiful, the room was nice and comfortable, the pool area is great.

United KingdomThis hotel was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to help—whether it was arranging a taxi or recommending top spots for dining and activities. The scenery was beautiful, and I’d highly recommend staying here. The only drawback was that the advertised spa and barbershop weren’t open yet; however, the concierge mentioned they should be ready by next season.

United KingdomRestaurant Breakfast was rather poor. All food was cold or simply not topped up . The only coffee served was a 3in1 instant coffee which for me was very disappointing. Prices in the restaurant are a lot higher then the ones in local restaurants in the town centre. I went to get a beer and they only had few bottles of peroni in the fridge ( 330ml for 550 leek ) which is probably three times more then a shop few metres away from the hotel. Such a scheme as the hotel is lovely and if only more attention was given to the restaurant it would be a great package.

United KingdomThe aesthetic gave an unclean look to the rooms. The shower pressure was good but the drain wasn't quick enough, so water was pooling, overflowing into the rest of the bathroom and also leaking into the bedroom through the window. Breakfast could be better too.

RussiaFor a 5 star hotel, the breakfast should be better. It ran out quickly and most of the food was cold. We came at the end of the season, but still it was warm and should be enough people to maintain the lounge area by the pool and cleanup beach area with proper sun beds, otherwise it looked like everything was swapped away by the storm and no one bothered to cleanup.
The location was central, near the port and the promenade. The rooms were spacious and clean, property has their own beach area and several pools, which are nice. During the season they probably have a better vibe, but in October it was pretty quiet.

United KingdomBreakfast was terrible, it advertises as having a spa but this hasn't been built yet (!), music around the pool was too loud, lunch/dinner food was ok but overpriced, not enough attention taken to details/finishing off e.g. the beds on the beach are always left in a mess

FinlandTo eat you need to search for close nice tavernas with good Albanian Traditional food and good prices. Breakfast and service in the hotel is below High European Standard, though everybody is trying to make their best to make you feel welcome. Rooms (doors in the room specifically) are not soundproof. Very loud music from 12 until late evening. If it was a bit lower at least to be able to enjoy peace and the world for a while - would be amazing. Otherwise - wake up very early in the morning and enjoy your time.
Modern design, clean, spacious, good location, comfy beds, amazing room with sea view and bath tab, exactly like on the pictures in description, you can have very relaxing time, very nice beautiful infinity pool, refreshing in the morning, private access to the sea with beautiful views and clean waters. All totally worth it.

Ok, honest review here. Don’t believe the negative hype in other reviews. Only place I stayed in Sarande but I would say this is (just about) a 5 star resort; maybe a 4.7 - It’s modern and well furnished / presented. Rooms: Very modern, stylish snd comfortable. Fridge with over priced mini bar but just remove contents and fill up with your own stuff. Room lacks storage big time but manageable. Worth getting a sea view room as sea view is south facing. Back side view from other side is brutal. Bathroom well furnished. Room could do with a full length mirror. Breakfast: If you’re coming away expecting a full English then you may regard this breakfast as poor. But if you’ve been anywhere else in Albania then this breakfast is banging. Eggs, omelettes, olives, tomatoes, fresh fruit, feta, coffee, cucumber, fresh juice, pancakes. Decent quality. Bougee crockery. Decent. Honestly, I’ve spent a week up north in Theth and Shkoder so this was amazing. Bottom line is it’s healthy and nutritious. If a Greggs steak bake is your ting then go elsewhere. Bar: No draft beer - Disappointing. 500 Lek (€5) for a bottle of beer annoyed me. I got 90 Lek beers from the shop and plastic glasses and kept in fridge and supped on the beach. I also got a little bottle of Disarono from the shop and supped that with lemonade on the beach. Pack a cool bag in your luggage for extra kudos points! Cocktails about 800 Lek (€8) which isn’t too dissimilar to Sarande prices to be fair. Food serve was reasonably priced for Sarande; 700-800 Lek for a salad. Can pay on card which is groundbreaking for Albania in 2024. Sometime they play some annoying hyped up Albanian dance music at the pool area, sometimes chill covers. Staff attentive and friendly. Beach and Pool: Rocky and pebbly so pretty grim, but it is what it is; it’s the natural landscape. Trying to walk out of the sea with any degree of composure is an art form in itself. Water shoes would be a good shout to bring.
