There was an issue with the cleanliness. While the beds were tidied up and towels were regularly replaced, one thing was missing. The room was never vacuumed either before our stay, or for all the 5 days we stayed in the room, and of course never moped. This had the effect of having balls of dust beneath the beds and within the hangers and a lot within the room.

The breakfast buffet was adequate and tasty. The location, while not within walking distance from the city center, was not a hinderance as Vienna transporation was so frequent that there was no issue. Both a tram (43) directly to the city center is within 2 minutes of walking from the hotel and a bus (10A) directly to Schönbrunn Palace is within 8 minutes of walking, and both have a frequency of less than 10 minutes during the day. If staying a bit long, consider buying the 7-day ticket for all transports (except airport) as this will allow you to easily navigate the city without the hassle of getting tickets all of the time and it will be way cheaper. The staff was very friendly and helped us when we asked. We arrived quite a lot earlier than the regular check-in (about 5 hours) and we were provided with the room since it was ready, which was very convinient.

- Some might not like the soft pillows, so just mentioning - The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the city center (although it is very well connected by public transport)

Like in many other European hotels, the temperature controls are just for show as the heating system is centralised. It was so warm I couldn't fall asleep normally. A bit of a pet peeve, not a true negative, but the hotel doesn't have laundry/dry-cleaning services, which I would have appreciated greatly

The furniture was quite old, and the facilities and utilities provided were below the standard of a four-star hotel. The bathtub was also old and a bit slippery.

The location was convenient by public means and staff was helpful.

We got the only room with no carpet, even tho in the invoice was indicated the carpet. 😄 And not so clean, but i think if i’d told the staff from the beginning , this wouldn’t be a problem anymore.
