Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Comfy, large. Good beds. Sweet view from the corner apartment facing Newstead. Nice touch with the corner windows opening up. Walking distance to the Valley without the noise etc. Plus, an easy parking option - thanks!

The room was pricey for the stay
I liked the size of the rooms, the comfortable couch and bed and enjoyed the Foxtel for entertainment. The balcony was nice to enjoy the breeze

1. Room was very hot and took many hours to cool down despite all air-conditioners set to maximum cooling settings. 2. There was a cockroach in the room - not what I would expect for a property costing nearly 500 per night.
Location was excellent for purpose - a short stay whilst some renovations were being carried out at my home. Apartment was spacious. Good that there was an ensuite.

The balcony doors were hard to open and did not lock. Three seater couch was too low. The television took a long time to turn on and off as the remote was faulty. The rooftop pool lift did not work, nor did it have appropriate railing to get in and out of the pool safely for the people that require to use the lift to get up to the pool area. Toilet roll holders situated in an awkward position and could not be changed unless disassembled. No in house WiFi instructions.
The dishwasher. The clothes steamer. The beds. The apartment had everything we needed which was great.

Having to pay for car-parking is ridiculous. I drove to Brisbane from my residence 4 hours away. I would think that car parking would be included in the fee, as it was underneath the building we stayed in.
LOVED everything about this room- stylish, clean, comfortable, user friendly. Fabulous appliances and toiletry selection. Staff were very professionally friendly.

Not enough time to enjoy the facilities. The shelf in the shower was very wide which meant that the water jets were close to the tap to turn on the water - felt like it was too close as body touched the tap when washing hair.
We only had a very short stay. The room was spacious enough for the two of us. The bed as very comfy and was able to sleep in. The room contained a full size fridge with a freezer section - great to keep things cold and iceblock frozen for the next day activities. Bathroom was a good size for the two of us.

probably a minor thing to some but the microwave was up in a top cupboard. if your short like me it is very difficult to use.

Hard mattress, supposed to be memory gel but probably so old, like the saggy lounge. No support left. Sink didn’t drain properly, after complaint, was fixed however the filthy water was tipped into and left in toilet. Room smelt, think carpets need a clean.
Location good, easy walk to Fortitude Valley shops, and opposite Valley emporium.

Unfortunately, the rooms are outdated and they have a musky damp smell. The bathrooms clean had mouldy seals etc and a weird smell.
Although the location was convenient, it was extremely noisy. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room didn't have any cups to drink from. There was no way to log into netflix or other services and the foxtel wasnt working properly. Also the staff weren't helpful and the in room phone didn't work.
The facilities were clean and in a good convenient location. The onsite parking was easy to use with plenty of parking spots available for guests.
