We got there later at night & didn't realise that there was a lot of construction works from getting in from Cairns, which meant only one lane of traffic would be viable at times and you'd have to wait until everyone from the other lane was finished passing through. It wasn't a dealbreaker but just letting people know if you're not a strong driver with windy roads.

Steve & staff were extremely hospitable and even showed us a Cassowary family! This location is truly what it says it is.. within the Daintree Rainforest, it was so peaceful waking up to sounds of nature and greenery. I had one of the best sleeps of my life (perhaps it was just a by-product of being immersed in nature!). Highly recommend if you want a rustic & nature filled experience. Also bring insect repellant!!

Stunning location right in the middle if the rain forest, fantastic night tour of the jungle, great food, friendly staff and we were treated to a jam session too! Great location for everyone and especially for solo travelers and nature lovers . Even saw a Cassowary and his baby!

If you want to be within the rainforest with amenities, this is the place for you. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, but you are right within the natural environment. A mother cassowary and her baby walked past our room one morning.. It's just amazing. Beautiful friendly staff and a great share kitchen and menu available, including a great coffee, which we appreciated. We were sad to leave.

Gorgeous location in the rainforest, nearby the Discovery Centre and ice cream factory. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the undercover common area is great for groups and kids. Cabins were comfortable, and we saw cassowaries outside. Highly recommended as a base to explore that area of the Daintree, heaps of free walks and swimming around.

Nothing! It’s wonderful!

Sally and Steve, the owners, welcomed us warmly! They made sure we had all the information on the best spots and sites for our few days up in the daintree and the meals - breakfast and dinner - were delicious! Monty, the dog, is a total (chill) sweetheart to make sure you’re extra enjoying the rainforest. Do the night walk with the young guide! We saw so many cool things and learned a lot.

This isn’t for everyone because it is immersed in the jungle but we enjoyed the creatures and noises and feeling one with nature.

Amazing jungle setting. hosts Sally and Steve were friendly, informative and made our stay very enjoyable. Recommend doing the night jungle walk with Odin and look out for the Cassawary in the morning! The pool is refreshing on a hot day. Highly recommend this, it’s a hidden gem! Cafe food was lovely home cooked food. Lovely sticky date pudding!

What an outstanding place! This is a must stay spot for those who wish to blend with the Daintree forest/jungle and most importantly, prefer stay in more pristine nature. We also had a magic feeling when swimming at night in their wonderful pool with rainforest leaves above it and gazing at well visible stars. You hear so much around (especially at night) and may also see some lovely rainforest creatures that otherwise you would not spot. It was a dry period then, so we did not experience any mosquitos. They also serve wonderful food and the staff is fantastic. But this place may be not for those who prefer tiled/glassed/cushioned ambience or music/noise- better go elsewhere so not to spoil the tranquillity of this spot. We would definitely stay there again as it was one of most memorable stays during our full month trip in Australia.

Our mosquito net had some holes in so got bitten in the night a few times but a small price to pay for a great stay

Exactly if not better than we expected. Had a great night's sleep in this peaceful, tranquil environment, Very well looked after by the hosts. We had 6 teenagers with us and everyone had a wonderful time.

Our bungalow missed a few doors (the one to enter the bathroom and the one just before the shower), which was uncomfortable since we were 5 people in the room
