Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWas in room 11. Room 12 had adjoining locked door between rooms. It may have been made of cardboard! as everything from room 12 was clearly heard. I had arranged a function for 20 in downstairs bar and the staff on the previous day when checking in didn’t know anything about it. The lower bar there was closed for our function.
Central location in Sydney cbd. My aircon worked unlike other friends rooms didn’t.

AustraliaThe bathroom was so small in the already very tiny room. The facilities looked old and worn out. There was no lock for the bathroom and it was almost see through. Could hear other people in their rooms... Would be nice if they had a mini fridge. Too cramped up for our liking.
The location was great. Housekeeping was great at cleaning and leaving us fresh towels.

AustraliaWould have liked fresh outdoor air into the room, but windows were sealed it seems.
It is well situated in the city close to QVB and walking distance to Circular quay, Darling Harbour...well everything . Loved the fact that Art Deco features had been retained. WE were mindful that bathroom could not be huge in this age building, but it was adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful as there is no lift, they carried our luggage for us. Nice coffee provided (and I am fussy in this regard), fresh towels and toiletries each day too. Meals on site was an advantage when we chose to stay in.

AustraliaThere’s no lift! Have to check in at the pub bar downstairs. No ventilation for the bathroom so the room smelled musty and there were black flies. The corridor is also strongly perfumed. The bed had a rubbery waterproof liner that was uncomfortable. There was no shower door, but also no floor mat or face washer provided.
Great location, easy to walk to shops and train stations. The Art Deco vibe was fun, I liked the original terrazzo stairs. Aircon was on when I got there and nice and cool.

AustraliaThe bed was against one wall which made it difficult for the second person to get in/out. No mini fridge although there were tea and coffee provisions available on the floor outside the room. The ensuite was approx 120cm by 180cm. The room was accessible by stairs only.
Excellent location near Town Hall. Accessible by public transport. Good shower with optional hand held attachment. The room was well insulated from the pub although the guest above us appeared to be thumping around the room. The room had air conditioning which worked well. Suitable for an overnight stay - clean and cheaper than many other places in the CBD with room/ensuite during holiday season. Basic facilities only.

AustraliaMight be an issue for some travellers that there was no lift access to the upper floors where the rooms are. It's all stairs.
Everything was great and what you would expect from the listing. Great location near Hyde Park and close to public transport, and pretty much everywhere you are likely to go. Great no fuss check in with friendly staff.

AustraliaNo lift which normally wouldn't be an issue but husband did MCL week before so very difficult to navigate all the stairs as we top floor level 2. Not any fault of hotel but if booking and have mobility issues take into account. TV Reception wasn't great and kept going onto HDMI and not staying on channel
