-The room was very dated and in need of renovation. It also wasn't very big. -There was always ques at the desk and these were very slow. -The breakfast room was small for the number of people. -Overall felt like it was expensive and not great value for money

This hotel is constantly busy, so the atmosphere can be a bit hectic in all public areas, especially during breakfast. Business guests are mixed in with vacationers, which makes it feel less relaxing. Unfortunately, we arrived on a day of constant rain in Rio, and the hotel didn’t have any umbrellas available for guests to borrow.

Convenient location. Room is clean. We have rear view which can peak the beach. Rooftop has better view.

The mattress in our room was very old and it was sinking, so it wasn't comfortable sleeping. Also the cleaning staff didn't clean thoroughly all the time, they also forgot to put toilet paper multiple times.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Over all good hotel, great location, food was good, it has a beautiful view on the rooftop.

The room has too many mirrors The double bed is not big enough for a couple. The duvet is too thin.

Breakfast and that my room was not cleaned for 3 days. Also, for one day, the toilet malfunctioned, and I did not have water to flush. I had to resort to using the waste bin to get water. I must however commend you for providing me with an electric kettle when I demanded. It made my stay better

Apart from the fruits, the breakfast was not fantastic. It is all pastries.

My room was quite dusty, fot example the mirror above the bed was full of dust and finger markings from previous guests. Another example is wine stains on a piece of furniture were there during my entire stay. I think the cleaners are programmed for daily routine, but do not work outside of that. Moreover I missed some basic amenities in the bathroom. There were none except for shower gel and handsoap.

The rooftop gym is nicely equipped , but it has no Air conditioning ! Uncomfortable to workout in 30 C plus heat . Bottled water in the room mini bar priced at $ 36 Reais . About $9 Can . Pricey .

Hotel looking a bit tired around the edges, but for Rio, it stands out as one of the nicer looking hotels.

Crowded at breakfast after 8h30 Swimminpool opens at 9.00, bit loud the music for agua gym.

We had a great stay at Pestana Rio Atlântica during our business trip. Our group of five was accommodated on the same floor, which was very convenient. My room was spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed and a small balcony with a partial ocean view. The bathroom was clean, with a nice shower and complimentary shampoo and conditioner. A safe was available (though not fixed to anything) and the minibar was stocked, though quite expensive. One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop, one of the highest in the area, offering a stunning view of Copacabana Beach, a pool, and a restaurant/bar service. During Carnival, they organized a samba show with two dancers, which was a fun touch. Breakfast was amazing! Overall, the cleanliness was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. A solid choice for both business and leisure stays in Rio!

The soap is the worst smelling soap I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. The A/C stopped working twice: The first during the middle of the night and we woke up in a sweat. The second during the middle of the day around 1pm, which is arguably the hottest time of the day. The heat woke us from our afternoon nap. The hot tub within the room was damaged but functional.

My stay at Pestana Hotel Rio de Janeiro was absolutely fantastic! A huge shoutout to Luisa and Billy from breakfast—every morning, they greeted us with big smiles and incredible service, making sure we had everything we needed to start our day right. Their friendliness and energy truly embody the Brazilian spirit! Also, a special thank you to Valdo, who took care of our luggage with so much kindness and efficiency—he made us feel right at home. We also had a small issue during our stay, but the manager handled it swiftly and professionally, ensuring everything was resolved in no time. That level of service and attention to guests’ needs truly sets this hotel apart. The location is perfect, right in front of the beach, allowing us to enjoy breathtaking views and easy access to everything Rio has to offer. Our hotel apartment was comfortable and had a lovely side view of the beach but niggly little problems cropped up such as a blocked toilet and shower, and a faulty bathroom door. However, these problems were addressed quite promptly and we were even upgraded at one point.

The prime location on Copacabana beach and the roof pool and bar/restaurant with stunning views. The rooms were comfortable, the buffet breakfast was superb with a great variety of fruit, cheese, ham and cooked food such as omelettes and sausages. But none of this would’ve been important without the charm, goodwill and friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They were marvellous.
