Check in and check out were painfully slow depsite them having multiple staff on the reception desk. It must have taken at least 10 minutes to check in once we had reached the reception desk, and we were unsure as to why it took so long and the member of staff did not offer any explanation. The hotel rooms are very dated for a 4* hotel and could do with modernisation. The air con in our room only seemed to have an on & off function and adjusting the temperature made no difference. I am not sure if this was for just our room or if the whole hotel is like this. The corridors outside of your room are very noisy in the morning and as a suggestion to the hotel, it would be worth asking guests to be quiet between say 11pm and 8am as there were people getting up for breakfast at 6am and having a loud conversation outside of their room without any consideratiion for other guests, and then not long after that the cleaners would start and they would also be talking to each other loudly or on their phones. Not very relaxing if you wanted some sleep.

Very nice entrance to the hotel, good breakfast (long hours) with plenty of selection. Roof top pool with lots of sun loungers & seating area. The hotel was very clean at all times and the lifts were very quick compared to some other hotels that we stayed at in Brazil.

We enjoyed our stay in the Windsor Florida. Great location in Flamengo, quite close to key tourist attractions. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of options and available until 10.30 am. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Rio!

It is not at a boulevard location (like Windsor California is at Copacabane) but on a 'local' shopping street. But when we got used to that, it was actually a great location to explore the city. The breakfast buffet was very good, but ii was a huge hotel and therefore a - well handled- huge and loud breakfast crowd.

Clean, safe, modern 'American style' hotel. Good breakfast, good shower, roof top terrace. Central location, somewhat hidden in sidestreet of local shopping street. We combined walkiing or taking (affordable Ubers) to explore the city centre, Lapa, St Teresa, etc. Walking distance, 5 min, to the Flamenco beach. Exit the street, 100 m, cross the road, 100 m to a safe entry lane (100 m) walk through the park followed by (100m) a a small bridge to cross the next road, then you are at the jogging/cycling strip and wonderful beach zone.

Excellent location regarding public transportation: in addition to buses and taxis, there is a subway station around the corner. Parque do Flamengo and Flamengo Beach are at walking distance, although it might not be the beach of choice for most tourists. The famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches are a few miles away, but the hotel's location is very convenient for those who want to enjoy both modern and historical Rio, daytime activities and the city's nightlife. The hotel is good, our room was spacious and clean, breakfast was good, staff was friendly and supportive. I would gladly stay there again.

I would have liked a hot water kettle in the room. Some days it was difficult to get information because many staff speak little. There was usually one staff member that spoke English but you didn’t which one until you approached desk. Then if English speaker was with another guest you have to wait in their line. Maybe have a line dedicated to English speakers since many ppl from all over the world speak some English and very little foreigners speak Portuguese. The staff did their best and were very nice. This is the same situation at airport, restaurants, stores. There were no umbrellas by pool or outside tables on roof. It gets sunny and hot quickly and there was no shade options.

Good location. Staff were nice. Good buffet. Airport is about 10 miles from hotel but it takes at least 45” to get to airport before rush hour. During rush hour it can take 60-90” so plan ahead.

The items in the fridge provided was charged (food and drink - we thought it was included) and it was not clear we had to pay for the items in the fridge and was also charged more than expected including the service charge.

Staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we stepped in and incredibly welcoming. They was really helpful with our luggage and the food was very good, especially the breakfast. The service was excellent.
