We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomevery sunbed on the beach and both pools was saved by 7am so not enough places to sunbathe, the italian restaurant gave very poor service and were very unhelpful when we complained that 3 of us had been given our food and had eaten it and 1 was waiting for over 45mins and it still didnt arrive and they didnt even apologise so we left with one of our party not eating.
The island opposite was beautiful and chilled not crowded. Deshon in the Butch steakhouse was brilliant an excellent waiter and very attentive and prompt

BrazilThere was a strong odor in the water on the beach in front of the hotel next to the pier, as if they were dumping sewage there. We paid for 7 nights but only stayed 6 nights, since due to a flight connection problem we arrived a day late. Despite this, we had to wait 3 hours to get into our room, when it should have been available to us, since we had already paid for it. Finally, the service provided by the waiters at the hotel was always very poor. This part was really disappointing.

United Kingdomif you have dairy intolerance or allergies the hotel staff is not really trained to understand contamination might kill you. BE CAREFUL as I have had a couple of accident. finally after 6 nights a professional chef managed to cook a diary free muffin for breakfast - I literally had no dessert in 6 days and I am not expecting this service from a 5 stars resort. It needs to improve on the night activity as it is very boring after 10pm.
Great atmosphere - great resort and good restaurant. I loved the daily boat for the private island where snorkeling is also included.

BelgiumThe butler we had had set us up with a fake yacht company with false prices, when on the yacht we were threathened to pay some money in cash. Keep in mind that before exorting my partner and I, they had already went in our belongings and stole thousands of dollars. We were travelling few hours later and we reported it to the hotel which I am sure did nothing to the butler in question.

ArgentinaThis could be a 5-star experience: they built a very nice hotel with really high end infrastructure, they planned amazing menus for their restaurants, they got a perfectly equiped and nice island to visit daily on their boats... BUT their staff just don't care, and that's where the experience takes a nosedive. Most of the staff geniunely seem to hate their jobs. The service is pretty terrible overall as a result - grumpy, unattentive staff, slow service, disappointing food (great menu, poor execution), and so forth and so on. Examples -Concept: they have spacious and nice suites where they greet you with champagne and rose petals on the bed and all that, after checking in with a cool orientation with cocktails. Reality: our room had used towels, an empty soda can on the table, trash on the floor, and a dirty sink. They really put rose petals on the bed and champagne on ice, but forgot to clean the room. What a way to start our stay. -Concept: they have a very nice french restaurant you need to make reservations for, with a very nice and well planned menu. Reality: we had an 8pm reservation, there was no one to receive us for like 10 minutes upon arrival, they gave us our table at 8.30pm despite having several empty tables during all our wait, the servers were grumpy and rude, and the food was far from what the menu described. Their great idea and investment: ruined. -Concept: have a cool island property, nicely equiped, and very nice boats they take you on. Amazing! Reality: Except the boats are just late, even the first one, because why be punctual and professional, right? I could go on and on, but the point is the same: poor execution because the people working there just don't care, at all, and possibly even dislike their guests. Also: -the beaches are very narrow, even on their little island. Still, the island is a very nice experience.

United StatesI was disappointed in the room and view. We stayed East wing had a few of old houses asked to be move they moved us up but the room and bathroom and small patio outdated. Noone to help to get a taxi in the evening 7:30 to go to Casino. There should be someone there at least until 10:00 p.m. The consior desk was not knowledgeable about things to do.

United KingdomThe staff on reception were rude - therefore when we go there we were met by a team who did not seem to like visitors and we were in a negative space thinking what have we booked. It was bazaar as after a few hours and meeting the restuarant teams - bar teams - no other staff were like this - they were lovely. Clearly a culture of the reception as we had further interactions and the mood was the same - unhelpful and basically rude. - they are front of house and actually gave us the wrong impression of who you are. The Booking we made - possibly our fault as we didnt look carefully enough - rooms no balconies - at this cost - i would have laways expected a balcony and in. europe we would not have rooms without baconies unless in a 2 star hotel- again staff rude about this - and they could have helped us as we would have paid more - rooms not always cleaned. Wardrobes did not close and shower hanging off wall - nothing sorted on these issues .
The food was fantastic. The staff in the actual restuarants and cleaners and bars were great. The set up and location was lovely. Not too busy . Trips good .

United KingdomLong wait times for to be seated at the restaurants, most nights where a minimum of 45 mins, even when booking restaurants we had a good half hour wait before we were seated. As well as this the towels within our rooms were not replaced once meaning we had to call concierge most evenings to get fresh ones. On one occasion we requested new towels three times yet they were never received.
Had a great holiday, very good atmosphere within the days and evenings, friendly bar staff and the offshore private island was a great extra!

United StatesThe beach at the main resort isn’t great. The restaurants requiring reservations were booked full the whole time we were there. The resort isn’t close to downtown Nassau and we found the public bus system was unreliable on a Saturday.
The resort is on the small side, which was perfect for us. The private island is the best part, I highly recommend spending at least one full day out there. All of the food was excellent. Espresso martinis and the piano bar were perfect! Overall a great stay.

United KingdomNothing really, although on our last day our keys stopped working before we checked out, we were given access to a room to shower in that was dubiously clean and the wifi access is cut off after check out even though we had another 7 hours to kill before our transfer to the airport.
Great location with a lovely beach, rooms in the West Bay are newly refurbished and modern. Numerous restaurants to choose from with a decent standard of food. Great drinks. Private beach is lovely and worth a visit. Gordons was probably the best meal we had. Having a butler made a lot of difference - private transfer, they make restaurant reservations, reserve sunbeds etc.

United StatesToo much miscommunication with information about the resort. I was told there were other restaurants, spas, etc on the other part of the island. We went and there was only one restaurant and no spa, with no other amenities. Very Disappointing. The staff caters heavily to the white population. We were told breakfast was over at 10:30am and we had to take our food to go. When white couples came, the information about breakfast was not given to them. There was suppose to be an orientation, but the front desk staff knew nothing about it. Too much money for the trip for the treatment we received as people of color. A Great Disappointment!!!
I like how the meals were all included.

United KingdomOnce pool is very noisy - ie dance / pop music all day, some days pool parties with bubbles etc. Note - there is a similar sized pool which is "quiet" so I guess the hotel has to cater for younger people as well as older. The only issue was were were in a room next to noisy pool (and music goes until 11pm I think).. We didnt know any it should have been an option. Also hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We walked to nearby casino / hotel resort and it was a good 30 mins walk down the side of the road.
Lots of facilities including the best one which is the private hotel island which you pop over to in the hotel boat. There are also three pools, several restaurants - from fancy to street food trucks. Room was good - decent size, comfortable bed. Mini-bar / drinks all included. Food all included.
