Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe hoops that they make you jump through after you do the booking on here. I spent about an hour. If I'd known in advance I would not have booked there.
Only stayed one night but the bed was good and the shower was good.

PeruCaye Caulker is not for people who wanna rest and swim. Almost all places are just restaurants and bars. It's cool, not for everybody. There are not a flat access to the beach

CanadaThe room wasn't modern but that was OK with me.
The location was great. No nearby loud bars, etc. But it was central and close to ATM, stores, bakery, smoothie shop, fry jack shop, etc. The people we nice, friendly and helpful. They cleaned the room daily.

IrelandSqueakiest beds ever. No kitchen.
Curtains go all the way around the bed. Charging point, lamp and a great little safe with each bunk. Fridge in the room. Free coffee and tea up to 10am. Free drinking water. Staff very friendly. Supermarket and Aunty's restaurant very close.

United KingdomThe dorm beds were extremely squeaky, even if you just turned over. They could be oiled.

CanadaI would LOVE to see more female-only dorm rooms…
Just a two minutes walk to the beach and two steps to food and supermarket. Staff is great. Good for a budget stay. Loved the privacy curtains in the dorm.

United KingdomNo atmosphere really and hard to meet people as a solo traveller. More of a hotel with a dorm than a hostel. No free breakfast
Free coffee was a nice addition. Dorm beds were quite comfy and the curtains round the dorm beds were good

Decent place to stay on the island considering the fun stuff to do is all over the island so this is a place to sleep and shower, get ready.

United KingdomThe location of the safe being next to the bed. I hit my head on it a couple of times. Why not just provide coin operated lockers.
Low cost, clean and free coffee in the morning. The towel rental service is a good idea and I used this.

United KingdomWould be better if in a hotel room (we were in the hostel dorms), not a lot of common space to relax. Beds were very squeaky & mosquitos in the room (corridor window always left open)
The location was good- near the water taxi & lots of restaurants. Staff were very friendly & helpful

AustraliaThere’s no social aspect or shared space which isn’t great when staying in a dorm or 12 people. The staff weren’t very friendly and the booking confirmation process is a pain (filling out a PDF with your credit cards details). I wouldn’t stay again if given the choice but overall it wasn’t terrible.
I stayed in a dorm which was overall fine for the price and well located. The bunks had curtains, which was a plus.

United KingdomThe hotel requested an additional form to be sent to confirm the booking, which was a pain as we didn't have easy access to a printer and it was not editable. Lots of signs and rules about towel deposits, seems like they have had a lot of towel thieves previously.
Great location close to the ferry and a short walk to the split. Very comfy bed! Coffee available in the morning and water available for free. Provided specific towels for use on the beach which was great. Room a bit tired but had everything you need.

IsraelWe had construction noise in front of the room and they told us that there is no other room to switch to, after 2 nights we started to smell terrible smells from the toilet, to the point that it was not possible to stay there for a while… Also, the girl in the reception wasn’t giving us such a pleasant feeling when we asked for service or anything.
As island was so expensive this hotel was more than good choice for the budget, the location is great located nearby everything and the coffee at the morning and the option to refill. Our water bottles was really nice.

IsraelWe could hear all the noise from the street, which was a bit annoying in the morning, even thought we had ear plugs. The hotel requested for a form to fill and send back before arriving, in order to complete the reservation, which was a bit inconvenient.
The bed was really large and the AC worked well, which is super needed in Caye Caulker. The room was clean. The location is really good, the island is not so big so you can walk from the hotel to most of the attractions, and from and to the ferry as well.

United KingdomThe dorm is a new thing they are trying to the beds were really squeaky, the room wasn’t cleaned everyday and the bathroom smelt of sewage like the drains weren’t draining.
Plaza Hotel is ideally situated near everything you would need. The island isn’t big either so you can easily walk to the northern part of the South Island to get to the bars and restaurants.
