Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThey oversell the parking and don't inform you of that, we didn't know so we almost missed a dinner reservation and had to park further away. They should monitor the lot better if that's the case. the rooms were way too hot, while they did provide a fan our room was 25 the entire time which is way warmer than we are used to.
Proximity to Banff, far enough to be quiet at night but close to walk everywhere. They did make a cute card and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary which was a cute touch!

United KingdomShame about on going work to upgrade. I suspect I will prefer the older style decor of the entrance to the proposed new glossy entrance area.
Ground florr room so on going work and lack of lifts did not affect me. Easy access to ski hire from Black Tie Rentals.

CanadaFitness facility had no view and was hidden in the pool area. It also was extremely basic, yet crowded. You had to take off your shoes and socks to get there, or contaminate the area from the change rooms to the pool with what you brought in on the bottoms of your shoes. Since there isn't anything inspiring to look at, they probably should have moved the fitness alcove to the entrance. Not sure if the reason was because the renovations weren't complete, and they just set it up so the equipment could be used in the interm.
They accomodated my request for a quiet room, and despite being informed I'd need to go outside and up some stairs (as the elevators weren't yet set up), I was placed in a new room on the main floor. Great location! Across the street from the hospital, (the reason for my visit) and the touristy part of town, with restaurants and shopping, is easy to walk to.

CanadaBanff Park lodge was good. My concern was mostly about a restaurant inside it (Crave grill). Some of staff in that restaurant if do not get tip from you, they will complain and next time that they see you will ignore you completely and won’t help you at all. It seems if you do not give tip, they won’t help you anymore

CanadaSome of the “old” has been left in the newly renovated rooms: old doors, old ceiling tiles, bathroom fans. It just stood out because the rest of the room was so new.
Amanda at the front desk was incredibly helpful on both check-in and check-out, as was the person who helped get our luggage to our room since the elevator didn’t go to our floor during the ongoing renovations. The accommodations provided because of the inconvenience of having to go through an outside staircase and up and down some stairs by far outweighed the hassle. The location was excellent as well. Beds were super comfy.

IrelandGot over charged about $100 (€120) from the price I was quoted when booking once all the deposits and holdings fee were applied. Tried to explain this to the receptionist when checking out but she was not bugging. Will try and contact management when I get back from holidays.

CanadaPool temperature was too cold. Ordered room service and tipped $20 which was 20%. My wife noticed there was already an 18% tip added plus a room delivery charge. Very misleading and deceitful. Don’t ask for a tip when you already took it.
New Large livable room with 2 beds and 2 bathrooms great for a family. Room divider to split room at night was really nice. Close walk to all shops and restaurants. Staff was excellent

CanadaThe route to get to our 'under construction' rooms was convoluted, involved many stairs, and many doors that didn't have automatic openers. The experience of being in this hotel while it was under construction is ridiculous, and they completely devalue the experience of a hotel stay, without reducing the price sufficiently for the hassle of the experience. They did NOT accurately explain the inconveniences we would face. Also, we requested a king corner suite. The room was NOT a suite. It was SMALLER than our double queen room. It had NO Corner window, and no table & chairs (ie what I consider a SUITE means more than just a bed to sit on. RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED.
The double queen room was spacious, and the main room (but not the bathroom) had been recently renovated.

CanadaMy room faced a brick wall so there wasn't much light but this is pretty minor, especially as I was only there 1 night. The hotel is huge so it was a bit of a walk to the room.
Location is good. Service by staff was great - they checked my luggage the morning before checking in and helped me carry it to my room.

CanadaThey tried to stick us in an old room first and when we didn’t like it, then they put us in a very nice new room. I would’ve liked to have skipped that step.
Best thing about this place is the location. It’s close to everything in Banff. The ski bus is right outside the door. There’s a Rental ski shop right in the hotel. Hotel has a bar and restaurant excellent breakfast.

CanadaHotel was still under renovation which we knew about ahead of time, and didn't affect us too much as we have kids that wake us up early. Would've liked a smart TV to connect to streaming. Beds and pillows were not super comfortable, I did not sleep well.
Location is wonderful, very walkable. People were kind. Kids loved the pool facilities and the eucalyptus steam was great. Newly renovated rooms were very nice.
