Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room that we had booked had an odd smell and looked tired. The screen was damaged so we couldn't open the window. We did end up with a better room. It would be nice if sinks came with some counter space to put our stuff on. The room was fine for the night.
Nice that there was a kitchen and coffee provided. Great staff on the desk. The lady who checked us in was really nice and helpful. The room was clean. Location was good and grounds were nice. We had stayed there before and would stay again.

We (seniors) were relieved to find an elevator, eventually, despite incorrect signage near entry. Check in was very simple Room appeared clean Beds and pillows were comfortable Our heater/ac under window unit was blowing cold air and it was not clear to me how to set it appropriately. Consulted with staff who had no knowledge of the appliance, which I eventually concluded was an ac No phone to contact desk No accessible usb points to charge phone Very hard to access electric plugs to use CPAP(had to move the heavy bed away from wall) Paint peeling in bathroom

there was light coming through the door jams from the hallway. I understood that the rooms and building is very od, but the lamp shade on the lamp was torn so badly it looked awful.

It is an older establishment and is very basic as a place to stay but it is reasonably priced and is clean. The staff is very pleasant. It is close to Western University which is convenient for us.

No secondary lock on the door. Bed lamp did not work and it wasn’t the bulb. Curtains didn’t hang properly and a blackout blind would have been nice.
The location was great for where I had to be.

check in time was great as we did not know when we would be through at the hospital. Also use of kitchen facilities as we were tired and could make something quickly with what we had brought.

All furniture is a bit dated and it needs some work (just to tighten the screws a bit)

Our room was NOTHING like we booked. Was supposed to have a kitchenette, we were told we were NIT allowed to cook in it, NOT allowed to use the microwave. It did NOT have a full size fridge (the bar fridge we got froze all our food) it did NOT have any dishes or utensils dish clothes....nothing. It was not worth paying extra to have a kitchenette if we couldn't use it. The two walk ways had NOT been shoveled in 2 days and were extremely slippery and dangerous. Our bathroom toilet was quite dirty. The entire bottom of the tank had not been cleaned in a while and there is no fan/window in the bathroom, so when you showered it steamed up the place.
The beds were comfortable, and the room was large.

The showers, shared in a communal bathroom, have no space to hang up your clothes or shower things, and just open on to the main toilet room. Had to precariously place my things on the edge of the sink, which other toilet users wanted to use. Could you install shelves?
The bed was comfortable and it was a warm reasonable accommodation.

Some things were a little run down in the room (holes in the bathroom drywall, little holes in the floor, etc). Patio was in rough shape. not a huge issue but a little unsightly.

It was somewhat hard to find the entrance at the back and the reception on second floor
