Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bed was harder than I’m used to and a little too squeezed into beside wall.
Owners are friendly, thoughtful and helpful. I’d be back, now that I know the view and the pool and location.

Room was unfortunately not as clean as I would have liked. Surfaces had not been wiped down and there were bits of food on the tables and floors. The bathroom floor had hair and had not been vacuumed. The bathroom otherwise was very clean and the beds were clean. I should note that due to our schedule I did not bring the cleanliness issue to the staff so I'm sure they would have rectified it given the chance. I just wiped things down myself, it took 5 minutes and it was fine.
This was all about sticking to a budget. I knew it wasn't going to be the Ritz. In that sense, it was excellent.

The room was a bit small, so it was hard to fit all of our luggage.
Staff was super friendly. Great location, good wifi, comfy bed, good water heat and pressure, Great value for money.

2 nd night arrive back late office closed and my key didn’t work. I went to office called # on the window . They arrived in minutes but I was scared. Man walking in lot.

The only downside would be that it is a non authorized marijuanas location , which is fantastic but sometimes people still smoke in front of the hotel ( no one’s see them or won’t say anything) which makes it smell in the room even while closed .

I was pleased with my room, very quiet and I never heard any traffic noise. It was just off a major road through town and only a 15 minute walk to two large grocery stores. A warning though: it was a very steep hill to climb up to those stores. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to enjoy being there. One pleasant surprise was finding out they launder every bit of the bedding, including the bed cover, after every guest. My normal habit is to remove the bed cover as soon as I enter a hotel room and tuck it in an empty drawer as many places never wash them. I found the lights in the room a bit dim as I like to do needlework in the evenings. Thankfully, I had brought a reading lamp.

Very friendly staff. I felt really good when I met the office attendant. Clean room and spacious. Comfortable beds. Huge Sony tv. Probably the best motel where I've been so far here in BC

It was very quiet at night but you could hear showers from other rooms in the morning. That’s typical for this older style of accommodation. I wish they also had left a decaf coffee pack.
This is an older motel, but updates, the cleanliness, comfy bed and bedding made for a great one night stay. The room I had was small but perfect for one person. It was functional and the layout provided a wardrobe with two drawers, a fridge, desk area with chair as well as a two-seat sofa and coffee table.

Room didn’t have extra safety lock. Room wasn’t cleaned during four night stay - not sure if this is normal or not but thought I would mention it
Good location. Very friendly staff and accommodating when I decided to stay for extra nights last minute. Very reasonable price per night - perfect for solo traveller. Convenient parking.
