Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaI mentioned that I was celebrating my mother's 90th birthday and Mothers Day and they provided a welcome note with a Happy Birthday card wish and a bottle of wine

CanadaChildren. The sitting area in the spa was much louder than I expected. Perhaps signs would help for those that can't clue in this is a quiet space.
Quant, quiet, and cozy. Loved the hot spring, outdoor pool, restaurant, and bar. SAFE walking distance from amazing shopping, bikes for rent, horses for hire. This is a real gem for solo travellers.

CanadaSuch a lovely old inn! Great dinner there, loved the spa area with the outdoor hot tub! We love this place, second stay for us. Only one complaint...the bed was really uncomfortable like maybe time for new mattresses. Otherwise a great place and highly recommend

United StatesHad a fire place in the room which was wonderful and a person dedicated to your room who was always available and kept in contact with you through the day in case you needed anything. Property was clean and outdoor pool heated with a fire pit for off season weather
The staff is excellent. Went for my mom’s birthday and a card and rose and bottle of wine was in our room when we arrived.

United StatesI would have guessed the rooms would have been nicer given we upgraded to a room with a fireplace but the bathroom has a terrible shower with no water pressure and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Still over all truly enjoyed our stay but I do wish they would upgrade these two things. I would consider staying elsewhere and just paying for daytime access to facilities next time.
We thoroughly enjoyed all of the heated pools and hot springs! This was our primary reason for booking and we have no regrets! The staff was also incredible.

CanadaWe booked an upgrade room but when we got there they said it was not available so gave us the standard room and refunded us. Our room was literally at the end of the building so we had to walk a bit. The rooms were nice but at other Vintage hotels they typically provided complimentary bottle of wine so we were expecting that. We also had a joint room so even though we weren't sharing with the neighbours we could hear them and knew when room service was coming or what they were watching on TV. We did the hot springs to start off. At 10am there was 12 people so very busy for our first time. However when I booked 11am it was just me and one other couple so it's a hit and miss on the privacy of the springs. The hot springs area is very small. We also got a massage which was nice.
We have been to other vintage properties but the outside was spectacular. The gardens was such a beautiful feature and with the outside bar was pretty nice. Check in was easy and the actual hotel is alot bigger than what we expected. We liked the fact that it was just down the street from both the strip and wineries such as Peller and two sisters. We had a spa day and the spa facilities are quite nice and cool that it's off by itself. We liked that there is a resturaunt and bar so you don't have to commit to a formal dinner and can just grab a wrap or pizza.

United StatesI thought the room it self could have been nicer for the price. The fire place didnt work even though maintenance came and tried to fix it, the bed was very very firm, the pillows were ok, the bathroom I just expected to be nicer for the cost of the room.
The Spa was fantastic, one of the highlights for sure! The Pool was very nice as well and it was great that it was heated enough to be in outside as well! The Cannery was incredible, amazing food, amazing service, the restaraunte itself was beautiful!

CanadaHot spring: Not that we didnt enjoy it - we did. Though small, the hot spring was lovely. However, you need a better system for robes, slippers and towels. Many people were either misplacing their things or taking other people's by mistake - which was upsetting for some of the guests. An easy solution would be numbered cubbies and hooks.
The food at The Cannery was amazing- expensive but certainly worth it. Staff were extremely helpful. The spa services were lovely. Everything is very clean. Beds very comfortable.

First time experiencing this fine establishment! Went with my sister-in-law for a GNO Spa getaway. Everything from the Hot Springs, Saunas, heated pools and Bar (where we could enter in our Luxury Robes) for a night cap was wonderful. ALL Staff were personable, helpful and knowledgable at what they did. Would definitely return.

United StatesThis is an older hotel that has been renovated, but the paint and wallpaper were chipped and torn. It was a little off putting at first. The service and overall experience made those things invisible by the second day, but given the price of the hotel it was a bit surprising. The majority of guest parking is across the street and around the corner. It’s not that far to walk at all, but in the middle of winter it felt far when I was walking in a dressy outfit for going to dinner. When I forgot something in the car I thankfully have a sweet husband who went to get it for me.
The room was lovely and spacious, and the grounds and resort were very nice. Both the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs were very nice. The indoor hot tub was very sandy one of the days. The outdoor pool is heated, but be aware it’s not hot like a hot tub, so in winter it may not be comfortable for everyone. The outdoor hot tub is called the Hot Springs and is included with the stay but must be booked in 20 min time slots in the spa. I signed up for yoga one day which is also included and was the only attendee with the teacher which was lovely. We didn’t get to try the ice rink or Monet gardens, but they looked lovely. The service was extraordinary, both the human service and their AI “Ivy” that we could text. Ivy helped me turn on the fireplace, change our hot springs reservation, and got a microwave for our room. It was a very cool service addition. The evening turndown service and rose on our pillow was sweet!

CanadaOnly comment was the buffet breakfast was under whelming for the price we paid. Everything was barely warm and bland. If food could be hotter and more variety i feel guests would be happier. After eating the amazing dinner at the Canary Restaurant the night before and having our socks knocked off to a mediocre breakfast was disappointing.
We love the hot spring and heated pool. It's why we book the winter months every year! Having the staff reach out and show they paid attention to details when we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary really helped us feel special! The room upgrade, the complimentary bottle of wine, and a simple rose elevated our experience immensely. Thank you to all the staff at Pillar and post!

United StatesThe charge for our room was more than expected, based on the reservation I made. I didn’t mention this at check out, partly because of a favorable exchange rate, but…
Staff, food, evening swim in heated pool, cleanliness. The addition of your garden park across the street is wonderful. Convenience of shuttle service to/from town a real benefit, especially in winter months.
