Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaA third-floor room without an elevator is quite a chore when there are mobility limitations. But given the age and historic character of the house this is not easily fixed.
Absolutely loved the carefully and skilfully made breakfast each day, served in beautiful surroundings. Bed and bedding were luxurious, and rooms are so tastefully appointed. The artwork throughout the house is stunning, as are the many fine pieces of furniture and rugs, lamps and the like. A pleasure to be in such an atmosphere.

CanadaThe wifi reception in the room was poor so I had to use cell data which, in turn, ended up causing issues with my cell phone data plan overage.
The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable which I appreciated very much because I came down with a cold and needed to stay in bed one of the days I was there. The breakfasts were delicious and Mary was also very accommodating for my needs.
