the only thing was how hot the room was because there was no ac in the entire place . the other thing was the food in dinning. Terrible is all I will say. oh but the desert was exceptional.

No microwave in room

Staff were friendly and helpful. Met one of the owners who was also friendly ,helpful and informative . Pool and hot tub was sooooo nice.

The Restaurant was a disappointment. Food was VERY bland. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

The room was nice and spacious with 3 queen beds and a fantastic view. Although a little dated, we really appreciated that it offered so much more than the more expensive places we stayed in Banff.

Wonderful old time feel, beautiful surroundings. Plenty to see and do. Cheaper entry to ghost town next door as well. Had buffet for dinner and felt homemade and was delicious

The setting is beautiful but the building sit between the main highway and train line. It is pretty loud outside. Trucks and cargo trains passing constantly even throughout the night (the room is soundproof just anywhere outside is loud). One restaurant on site for dinner with average service and below average for the price. We would not recommend eating there. There’s a cafeteria for breakfast and lunch but we didn’t try it. Many areas of the building are in original state (reception and all common areas). Might not be for everyone.

It’s in the most beautiful settling and has an interesting history of the family who built and maintained it. Our room was renovated with very comfortable beds, super clean and soundproof inside. Lovely balcony overlooking the lake and even a coffee machine inside. Super strong water pressure. The place is an absolutely maze with lots of common areas including library, interior garden, pool, spa and multiple games rooms. Lots of parking on site too.

We were giving a loft room meaning the bed was upstairs and the bathroom and sitting area was down. At our age it wasn't great going up and down in the night.

Our room was quite cool and I moved the thermostat up to 23 and still no heat.

The view was wonderful couldn't I couldn't get enough.

There was no microwave for reheating a meal but we made do. We understand that the chateau runs on its own electricity generating system and quests are requesting to be mindful of this. There should have been a recycle container in the room. There was however one by the elevator.

The location was amazing. The room was comfortable. It is alongside a major highway but the balconies face into the inner courtyard and so traffic noise is minimal. A bit of a puzzle finding my way around but that added some fun and there were well placed directions. Lots to do in this area and may come back with family.
