The location of the hotel is one of the positive points. The building itself is very old as well as furniture so if you like antiques style, the hotel suits your stay. Only very minimum amenities are provided.

The staff were very helpful with local advice such as using the funicular for a one minute journey to the old town. The location was ideal for train travellers as it was a short walk from the train station. Breakfast was very good value with many options. The room was large and spacious with a balcony.

A little noisy.....street noise throughout the night. If this is an issue for you then request a room on the backside of the hotel.

Great location. The room was comfortable and had everything needed. Good value for money. Ticino ticket that the hotel provided was a nice addition to the trip; and encouraged me to explore Ticino region more than I planned.

The road is very loud, and unfortunately the room haven't had enough insulation to moderate that noise too much. I got used to it by the end of the day, and I could sleep fine, although it was a bit disturbing.

The location is excellent from the train station. It took two shots to find the optimal way there, but it worth the sweat. The hotel's staff is very kind and friendly. The room was spacious and had enough space to settle. I also liked the bathroom, actually it had a bathtub, and had a good hot water. The room had a balcony and provided view to the mountains. The breakfast was nice. Even if it was noisy, it was nice to sit outside on the balcony, enjoying the sunshine. There is a very good thai takeaway place just about ten steps from the hotel. They had Radio Swiss Jazz to listen to.

The hotel felt a little dingy, rather like stepping back 30 years or so. Our room was a little musty with old, wooden furniture but perfectly clean.

We had a helpful reception from the member of staff on duty. The hotel is very convenient for the station, just five minutes' walk away.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfasts. Popular with locals which is a good sign. Nice location beside the sea and away from the main tourist area. Very reasonably priced. If we had booked earlier a sea view would have been great!

Our room had a bathtub with handheld sprayer, difficult to use while standing, would prefer a shower.

It has rooms for 4 persons. Very convenient to transportation. Bathroom is a good size. Front desk staff is very friendly and eager to help make our visit to Lugano memorable.

It would be nice if there was some more shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom. There were two tiny sachets which is ok but not really enough to wash your hair and body. This is a minor complaint - we were traveling very light and didn't bring many toiletries with us.

The staff were very friendly, the location was excellent (very close to the train station), breakfast was decent and it was very clean. When we came back after a long day of mountain biking to collect our bags the member of staff working was super friendly, gave us some snacks and got us water. There was a safe location to store our bikes.
