Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamFelt like we could feel every spring in the very thin mattress, but we knew it was a bargain hotel and didn't particularly expect much better. Very plain and humble room, and the door lock was a joke. Parking was a bit tricky -- we ended up going around the block a few times then parking a few blocks away only to learn they had parking available at the property. All the spots out front when we arrived were taken so there wasn't a good spot to temporarily park to check-in. However, eventually a spot opened up and we were able to successfully parallel park in front of the hotel where we felt security would be good enough.
Great staff, cool neighborhood. Included breakfast is always a major plus!

United StatesThe staff, location, price, free breakfast, wi-fi, and hot showers were awesome!! We stayed here twice while we were in Costa Rica and had room 4 both times. The bed was so uncomfortable. It dipped on both sides and we could feel the springs in our backs. I have a spring bruise! Our daughter came to stay for a night because we needed to leave for an early excursion the next morning. The only room they had left slept four, so we slept in there with her. The beds in that room were much better! I can't attest to the beds in the other standard single rooms, but say hell no to room 4. 😂

United KingdomThe hotel is located right next to train tracks which can be a bit difficult. They don't run overnight so shouldn't cause many issues. Noise cancelling headphones and some white noise does the trick
Breakfast and service was really good

CanadaOur second stay was brief but great!
We came back to this hotel and it was great. They held our bags, checked us in a little later and were able to check us out early. I liked the double room better than the balcony room even if it was smaller. We had to leave early and didnt get breakfast but it was great previously.

CanadaThe mattresses were a little firm, we appreciated the extra blankets since it was a little cold, but there was a slight issue with the shower instructions not immediately available. You cant increase the water to much and you have to wait some time for the hot water. We noticed this was only an issue in our first room, not the second so not sure if it is a hotel wide. The staff member on duty was very helpful and it was clear they checked the shower the next day.
The location was great, its a cute neighbourhood, about 15min/30min walk from the major museums and downtown core. The room was basic but was clean and quiet. The place felt very safe. Staff were absolutely wonderful! We were promptly checked in, breakfast available if we wanted it (also the breakfast was great!) and the little restaurant area was super cute, and they were able to hold our luggage for a small fee. When we did have a slight issue with the shower the staff was prompt in making sure that we could get it fixed. Plus they have a cute hotel cat (not allowed in the rooms) which was a bonus!

Costa RicaSome noise in my room since the garage was next door. You can hear the guests walking late at night on the second floor. Also the tv set did not work well. I had to ask for help.

United KingdomThe location of the hotel means you hear the rains beeping all night, the floor creeks as did the beds. You’ll be fine if you are a deep sleeper, but we barely slept because of the noise.
Bathroom and hot water, internet and facilities are great.

Puerto RicoThe floors were very creaky and loud. You can also hear everything from the hallways and the surroundings of the hotel. The first room I stayed in had a strong, humid smell.
I loved the staff (special thanks to Alex and Ana for being so nice and helpful), the cat (Klaus is so cute), the location and the breakfast.

GermanyThe bathroom in the room had a lot of mold on the ceiling and walls so it made the whole room smell very strongly to humidity. Also the window didn’t close completely and since the hotel is next to the train tracks, it was loud.
It is located very central to go to restaurants and bars in Barrio Escalante, and the street was safe enough. The room was big and the staff were nice. The breakfast was really tasty and the restaurant is nicely decorated.

Brazilthey lock you in after hours (or out), so have to phone front desk to be let out or in. I had a tour at 4 40AM and, from the lobby, had to phone front desk - the person appeared immediately, but this gave me a scare. no restaurant in hotel (though lots of them close by). basic infra, though spacious and quiet room. very thin toilet paper.
very good location, very clean, within 15 min walk of central san jose, far enough from crowded streets, several restaurants within 2 block range, good wifi, friendly staff, good regional breakfast. very close to major museums and downtown attractions. this is more of a nice pension-like accommodation, so do not expect hotel frills. For instance, front desk personnel also serve breakfast. excellent cost/benefit as compared to similar ones closer to downtown.
