It was absolutely stunning! Everything was just perfect. Stunning Lodge with a beautiful view, perfect spot to relax. Everyone was really nice and the food was just outstanding. One of the best places I've ever seen - without any doubt!

We had a comfortable, clean cabin overlooking a lake. We saw so many birds such as parrots, toucans and egrets from our veranda. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. Good food provided in their restaurant. Very friendly owners who gave excellent advice about visiting Rincon de la vjela national park. No WiFi in rooms but fast connection available in the restaurant. Lack of WiFi in cabin didn't really bother us.

We loved the place and were very happy with our choice. Yocky and her Mom are amazing hosts and take care of their guests very well whether it is sharing trip advices or preparing delicious meals or just to spend time together like friends or family members do. The Family and also all their employees are very kind and wonderful people. So are all the horses and I can also recommend horse riding at their place. Also the whole property meaning the land is just amazing. It offers diffrent kind of wooden houses (smaller, bigger, older and very new ones) for the guests and we loved the one that we chose. We have never seen so many diffrent birds just in front of our house and we had aready been to Costa Rica several times. It was a very magical time to us, and we would like say one more time: Thank you, Yocky, for your hospitality and for the possibility of being able to visit your beautiful and so natural land with all these trees (we love guanacaste big trees), birds and other animals. We already miss this place and can only add that there are not so much of such places for a real travellers/explorers to see and experience when it comes to real Costa Rica and its beautiful nature. We want to definitelly come back!

The hot showered stopped and one of us ended up not having warm water. The system seems to have broken while we were there. The lodge isn’t close to the park (1,5hour drive). Careful : no wifi in the cabin (it was explained in the booking though, no surprise for us).

We had a great stay ! The staff was amazing, very welcoming, vey available. We asked for a late check-in and they were quick to accept. The hostess gave us great recommandations for the next day. The cabin was great, big space, confortable. Close to nature as well. We had a good breakfast at the restaurant which has a great ambiance to it.

Amazing host and experience, kids loved it. We took the shorter road to get there and it was QUITE the experience, you need a good vehicle. But there are a few ways to get there. The remote location makes this stay extra special if that's what you are into.

Was a tad difficult to find but just follow the hotels instructions on Waze. We thought it would be closer to Rincon de La Vieja National Park which it was in fact not (this might have been our mistake though)

A hidden gem! Such an amazing experience in the rainforest, the sounds of the rain on the roof all night was truly magical. We arrived in the evening (and hungry) and had a beautiful dinner cooked with so much care & love.

We love country locations and this stay was suited to what we enjoy! A cozy comfortable cabana on a beautiful property. A scenic trail that lets you see more of their land beyond your room. And a restaurant that served delicious meals! The owners were wonderful! We felt at home!

Nothing. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The rooms are in wood and cosy and have a very authentic flair. Hummingbird can be observed whilst taking a shower.

The genuine kindness of our hosts was really moving.... Letting us taste different types of juices...helping us to plan our visit to the volcano areas and helping our son who had a skinburn on his arms. The lodge itself is very authentic. The garden benefits from more than 40 years of carefully maintenance with lots of love..with flowers and trees you think you find yourself in a botanical garden. Hummingbirds are flying around your head during breakfast. And finally...the food was gorgeous...homegrown vegetables and fruits and produces such as ricotta cheese..very royal quantities...your own grand mother would not have spoiled you so well. Thanks for the lovely stay and memory

My gf forgot her airpods in the hotel room, but the hotel arranged for them to be brought to us in Liberia which saved us from a really long drive. They truly went above and beyond.

Absolutely lovely location, a hidden gem ! Bungalows were spacious and comfortable, the lady who runs the place is extremely nice and helpful - speaks English, Spanish, French … she was able to help us a lot organising our visits. The food was excellent and we had breakfast and dinner there everyday !

Beautiful setting amongst the sights and sounds of the rainforest. Our host was amazingly helpful and told us how to get to a nearby natural hot springs. We didn’t see anyone else and had the springs all to ourselves! The Lodge is remote so we ate our meals on site. The food was very good.

No fridge in the cabins, but this is fine because they are supposed to be rustic. The curtains are very see-through and the bright lights from the pathway came into the cabin at night when it would have been nice to be dark. Also dogs barking loudly at night. There are no shops within walking distance so be prepared to eat in the restaurant all the time or to travel 5 miles or so to the nearest ones. But these things are a small price to pay for the wonderful peace and views of the volcanos.

The grounds of the property and large and beautiful and peaceful for a wander. So many birds can be heard and seen! The gardens are full of rare and interesting plants too. One of the keepers of the place speaks excellent English and recommended a local walk up a mountainside, that was as fun and lovely as any expensive national park. Just few and local knowledge! She was also so helpful and recommended a good road for us to use when heading to our next destination. So much knowledge and such great help! We had planned one night but increased it to two, because we loved it so much we didn’t want to leave.

WIFI is not available in the bungalows, only in the restaurant.

We didn't originally have this area in our itinerary and went there spontaneously. The bungalows are set in beautiful grounds and you can watch birds all day long from your balcony. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and we were given lots of tips on what to do in the area.

The cabins are very rustic and could use some tlc, and since the restaurant doesn't open until 7 am, a coffee maker for the early risers would be nice.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. The restaurant had good variety of meal options for both dinner and breakfast. The gardens/grounds were well maintained and the flowers and trees attracted many birds, we saw quite a few toucans in the morning hours .

Beautiful location. The room was clean and comfortable. The nature is beautiful, there are a lot of birds at the park. The owner was very nice. She helped us with information for activities and also information about a next destination in Costa Rica. The food was also fine. I can recommend this place for everyone!
