Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaFront of house/reception staff not as helpful. Unfortunately our room opened to a very noisy laneway, with people frequenting throughout the night & early morning.
The location was excellent & central in the Old Town Square. Close to restaurants & and easy walk to most attractions in Prague. The hotel bar/restaurant staff were very obliging.

CanadaRestaurant staff often inattentive. Grumpy when we refused payment. Credit card terminals not working or unavailable without communicating that before we sat down at the restaurant. During breakfast, staff having discussions about personal dramas around guests. Take that to the back room or somewhere else, please.

IsraelThe staff was very friendly. The location is at the most central spot of the old city, which is where most tourists want to explore. The room was very spacious, with a wide hallway, 2 bathrooms, and a view to the Astronomical Clock. There was no noise from the street when the windows were closed. The breakfast was good.

Cyprus- when we needed to add an extra night at the end of our stay, the personnel didn’t respond promptly and we proceed with booking.com. Afterwards, the hotel asked us to pay 20€ more in order to stay in the same room since the second booking was in a superior room and not in a deluxe room. This is unacceptable to ask for pennies in a guest staying for 5 nights in total when you just could use the free upgrade option - deluxe room with a view will not let you sleep since the bell rings every 1 hour without proper sound insulation
- fresh breakfast, with different choices every day - central location - 24 hours reception - bath amenities

United KingdomWe had a double room and were given 2 single duvets in the double bed - we did ask for a double duvet and the staff told us this would be sorted but unfortunately it wasn’t. There wasn’t a lift either and was a bit of a maze finding our room, but other than that it was really great!!
Really great location, room was really lovely - very spacious and nice bathroom too. Heating system was very good (which was needed!!). The staff were lovely and friendly and everything was easily accessible.

United KingdomNo issues, but a kettle would be nice.
This is an old school Czech hotel, in a perfect location. It has echoes of the Soviet era but with modern comfort. I could not speak highly enough of the staff. The gentleman at the front desk helped me arrange a ticket to the Sparta Prague football match, which was great. Overall a very good experience.

AustraliaUpon check in they couldn’t find our confirmed reservation. Then once shown the booking.com reservation on my phone they ‘found’ our booking. Only to then put us in a room with a brick wall view instead of the astronomical clock view we had paid for. Then upon questioning the room allocation we were told ‘sorry it is the way my boss works…I can move you’ and we were moved to the astronomical clock view room.
Location is perfect

United KingdomWe were put in a top floor room (Room 302) in a separate building (2 buildings away from main hotel) - the building had no elevator (our booking confirmation specifically said upper floors were accessible via elevator) so we had to walk up several flights of stairs. Also, we had to walk round to the main hotel to have breakfast which wasn't ideal. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room as it was a long trip down and out of the building just to get a coffee! Reception staff were helpful and polite.
Great location right opposite the town hall. Large apartment/room with good facilities - very comfortable large double bed, modern TV, walk-in shower, separate WC and view of the astronomical clock

United KingdomMini bar with everything but water. Would like tea / coffee facilities in the room The entrance to the hotel is down a passage between a closed down shop and a cafe. Its a shame the entrance to the hotel is down this passage and up some stairs because once you are on the first floor the hotel is impressive.
