The WiFi isn't great. It would be nice to have a curtain or blinds in the room (under the roof) as it gets light very early in summer.

Just be aware that it's a healthy (and steep) walk into town. And the buses only run every hour or so. But with some patience, you can get everywhere you need

Great apartment in a nice location just 5-minute walk from the trails. A very friendly staff and quiet surroundings make it a great place to explore the Saxon Switzerland.

the kitchen was very well equipped way better than what I am used to in North America with Airbnb rentals. it was a short walk to the tram. we were happy to start our treks from the property. when you arrive loo for the reception sign from the main road. I trusted the picture from the website and goggle map. but if you miss it it's a short walk from were we park to the reception. The owners are very nice and accommodating. I would recommend to anyone in the region to check their availability first. we really used the public transport pass that came with the rental

There was nothing that we didn’t like here! Do keep in mind that this hotel is not in the actual village of Bad Schandau. That is about a 25 minute walk from here. We knew that going in, and we loved being surrounded by the unparalleled scenic beauty of the area.

This hotel is in a beautiful area. It’s very quiet and peaceful, and the scenic beauty is beyond compare. The hotel is run by a family, and everyone we encountered was very kind and accommodating! My dad and I stayed in one of the apartment-style hotel rooms, and it was very spacious and cozy. We almost felt like we were guests in someone’s house. If you want to spend time in the actual village of Bad Schandau, it is about a nine-minute drive or a 25-minute walk from here. This hotel is perfect for access to hiking trails, and taking in all the world-class scenic beauty of the area- even from the windows of your hotel room! This little corner of Germany is so quiet and peaceful, you will almost surely get a good night’s sleep here!

The Wi-Fi in my room was so bad. There is no signal there and it’s unfortunate to rely on spotty Wi-Fi. Also make sure to ask reception for the „Guest-Pass“, which allows you to take the bus and Kirnitzschtalbahn for free because they might not give it to you automatically.

Beautifully located next to Schrammstein and Falkenstein. One only needs to walk to the hiking spots. You can also walk to the Personenaufzug and the Kirnitzschtalbahn which takes you to other hiking spots. Also the staff was really kind and were so helpful. Breakfast was amazing with freshly made coffee and they even had a juice presser!

The internet was very spotty and our neighbors were a little loud (they had a young child that liked to run around, but luckily went to bed fairly early).

It met our needs for hiking for a few days. There were a few restaurants close by so we did not have to drive into town every day for dinner. We bought groceries and had a kitchen so we could eat breakfast there and made sandwiches for hiking. It was clean and comfortable. We liked that we could just walk out our door and go on some amazing hikes! We did not have to drive to go hiking.

Great location for day tours to the park, the apartment was clean and had all we needed for a few day stay. It was easy to check-in and we could leave our bags after check out to pick them up later after the hike :)

Lots of stairs to get to our room (not a problem for us). Coffee making facility would have been nice. Biggest draw back for us we could hear every step of the people staying above us through the wooden ceiling and consequently had a very bad night’s sleep. Location is very remote, you really need a car.

Very cute old-fashioned Haus. Our apartment had lots of character. We had a separate living room, there was a small kitchen and dining area.
