Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThere is nothing not to like about the place.
We loved the location and the gorgeous buildings in the old parts of Møgeltunder where the kro is located.. Great area for walks, especially when the weather is on your side. The Schackenborg castle is next door. Our room was located upstairs in a qute house next to the main building. The room was petite but still spacious, considering the time when the house was built. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries, and it had a bathtub. The breakfast was extraordinary with a good spread from local producers as well as other Danish foods. Lovely porcelain and ambience. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. Especially the staff at the time for our arrival when the reception was closed. They had to leave their duties at the restaurant to give us the things missing in our room as it was only set up for one person. A minor error, but they really got out of their ways to set it straight. The garden was lovely as lovely as well.

SwedenInteresting location very close to the Schackenborg castle, which is worth a visit. The hotel has nice, spacious room. The dinner room is beautiful. The service is personal yet professional. However the best part is the food: our nine course dinner was fabulous.

NetherlandsBreakfast was excellent, food was very high quality and good selection. Main restaurant is high end and only set menu, but the castle restaurant in the grounds was very good and with reasonable prices for Denmark. Hotel in adjacent to a royal residence, with free entry into the beautiful gardens. No TV in room which we liked.

SwedenImagine waking up, sleepily opening your curtains, and staring directly at a dozen tourists. Not quite the experience I was prepared for early in the morning, but one that is unfortunately inevitable when you are staying in an antique house with large windows directly onto a sidewalk, on the main road of a quaint tourist-town. Suffice to say, we kept the curtains to our bathroom closed pretty much the entire time. While antique houses have their charm, they also have quite a lot of creaks and gaps. We could see through the gaps in our door into the hallway beyond, and certainly hear other guests walk around there. The restaurant affiliated with the hotel is most excellent, but also quite expensive, so you may wish to eat elsewhere if cost is a concern.
It was quite an experience to stay in this ancient townhouse, right next to the castle. Both the building and our room were antique, but well maintained. We especially enjoyed the large and comfortable bed, and the ancient-looking bathtub. Breakfast was phenomenal, with many locally produced items, and the restaurant affiliated with the hotel is worth a visit in its own right. Our evening was spend enjoying the produce of a local brewery out on the patio, on a perfectly calm spring day. In the morning, we decided to take a leisurely stroll around the castle grounds, before traveling onwards towards the coast, a mere fifteen minutes away. We found the staff mostly very young but very helpful, and everyone we spoke to was fluent in English. They let us park right outside our room, though there is also a large car-park one house over for use by visitors to the castle. The cobbled streets are very unusual in these parts but help slow down traffic, and the entire area is meticulously maintained and well worth a visit. Overall, a very pleasant and unique experience.

Polandpeople walking in the garden outside the building since early morning--> noise. Also it is impossible to sleep or just stay in the room without curtains as people in the garden would see everything inside. That makes the room a bit dark and you are not able to admire the view
Absolutely fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was cosy, clean, beautifully styled (rustic). Breakfast in a separate building, but just across the small, stunning street and the food was tasty. Nice and quiet area for a short walk.

Very friendly staff/team with a good sence for service. The hotel and surroundings and villages nearby are characteristic/romantic. First evening we had a diner in the hotel restaurant which was very tasty. Within 45 minutes you can be at the insel Romo and take the ferry to Sylt for example.

NetherlandsThe breakfast was sadly awful, very limited choice, no bacon, only scrambled eggs and tiny sausages, thimbles of yoghurt, tiny glasses for muesli, not much in the way of spreads/cheese/jam/fruit, no rolls, one type of bread and, truly inexcusable, not enough of even what there was for the number of guests staying in the Kro. Don’t be late for breakfast! It caused some consternation when I politely requested a bowl to eat my muesli from. Very unusual for a Danish Kro, which usually provide superb breakfasts, and the only (recurring) disappointment of an otherwise excellent stay. If the breakfast had been better, this would have been a 10.
Fantastically picturesque Kro in Chocolate Box village full of cottages with roses around the door, cobbled street, thatched farms and lovely countryside. Castle at one end of the village, church at the other. Kro authentic old inn (late 18th century?) decorated in light and airy period Danish style. Delightful. Surrounding cottages used for accommodation: recently renovated, Late 18th century appearance with all mod cons and spotlessly clean. Very well appointed. Bathroom luxurious. The whole thing was like staying in a Danish version of Jane Austen. The a la carte dinner in the Kro was excellent, and the restaurant staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We also has a small private garden enclosed by hedges outside our room. Lovely. Nice a quiet.
