Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe room lacked a closet, and the hotel charged an excessively high fee for a small dog.
The location is unbeatable, with a charming building and elegant design.

United StatesPlease Include that there is no elevator at this lovely boutique hotel. Our room was on the third floor, the highest level, requiring us to walk nine sets of stairs, each direction. The hotel apologized, and we did agree to take the room, but believe “stairs only” should be noted in the description of this quaint boutique hotel.
The location was superior, Close to the vibrant Latin district where we found many great restaurants/sites.

United KingdomA small thing but the curtains were thinnish so I could see streetlighting through them. It would have been nice to have a comfortable communal sitting area.
Comfort of the bed, elegantly decorated and plenty of hot water. The location central, on nice street, so was perfect for us. The staff were excellent.

DenmarkThe room was very small and the photos on the booking were not representative of what was present in the room. There were no sockets next to one side of the bed and almost no places to leave things (like in the bathroom)

North MacedoniaThe room was a bit too small, so it felt a bit claustrophobic. The wooden floor was a bit noisy, and the bed is on the same level with a window to a very busy street.
The location of the apartment was amazing, the place was very charming, the back garden was very cute. You will get to stay in the middle of everything and within a walking distance to all the best places of Aarhus

United StatesThe bathroom had a horrible sewage smell after one used the faucet or toilet. Also, the shower drain did not work well so the shower overflowed. The room was a bit tight but for the location it was fine.
The staff was super friendly and helpful--including emailing me back with questions I had. The bathtub was amazing! The location was amazing too!

United StatesAfter two attempts before I got there and two attempts when I got there, I could not get feather free pillows. These are hyper allergenic down, which is like saying hyper allergenic cat. It’s still a cat and I was still allergic and I asked politely and I could’ve been a lot more aggressive, but I was just very disappointed because it meant that my state required asthma medication just to breathe, also it’s a very steep staircase and no elevator so if someone is movement impaired, be you should think about that. The breakfast is OK no fresh orange juice, no hot entries. Also, if you’re on the third floor, I had it attic room with the diagonal ceilings that was pretty dark.

United StatesHowever sleeping another matter. Right across the street from a bar and garbage pick up in the morning - every morning. No air circulation besides opening the window - only to make the city noises louder.
Location was great.

DenmarkRoom unwelcoming, cold and too small. Very poor decoration of room, with low quality materials / objects used, from floor panelling to tiles on bathroom walls, lamps, furniture ( except a beautiful old bed, though with a worn out matress). Nothing of the cozyness, attention to detail and welcoming charm that you would expect from a “ boutique hotel”. With a little extra money, more attention to room design, and in the hands of a good interior decorator, it could be a much better experience.

Denmark- simple and very small room for 3 people ( 2 adults and 1 child). Room located at the old sealing, and this means tilted wall, in an already very small room. - very expensive for one night, compared with other hotels and hotel standards in the area of central Århus.( I do travel alot i my business, including Århus) - No hot water for the morning shower, the staff was informed and really no response, other than okay. So there we where 3 people with out morning shower.
- Location is great - Nice staff
