Music too loud at pool (Monkey Club) and beach. Need some days to enjoy the tranquility of the natural surroundings.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apt. It was clean, close to beach, had shuttles if you didn't want to walk. Staff was attentive provided everything we asked for in a timely manner. Had supermarket with mediocre selection of food. Pizza shop had delicious pizza. Water dispenser in apt was convenient. Resort was secure and safe. We were pleasantly satisfied.

The only bad thing was the kids play area it was rusty .

Everything was very clean and I the super market in the resort was amazing it had everything that i needed to cook.

I think my room could have been cleaned a little better. And it would have been nice if they had automatic air freshners to help with smell caused by the humid weather. The closet door is broken in one of the bedrooms. Bathroom kinda rusty.

I appreciated the staff's attentiveness and consideration. They definitely made my vacation enjoyable and memorable. Especially my concierge Jefferson. He was the best! If it wasn't for him, my trip would not have been the same.

We saw roaches in 3 different locations of the hotel… one of them being our room 😬 They had a note of bugs in the premises when checking in but we didn’t expect the bugs to be roaches. We assume that they had recently had the exterminator over which riled up the bugs, but still it was uncomfortable to see these in 3 different locations. We also didn’t appreciate the extra fees charged when checking in/out for things that you’d assume are included in the room you’re paying for such as electricity and cleaning fees. They also tried to charge extra for taxes even though that was included in the initial price. This could have been a misunderstanding between the hotel and booking.com, but still when you’re being charged for so many random things, it gives the impression of being taken advantage of :(

It was a big complex with many food options, gym and pools. The personnel working there was very friendly and accommodating.

I didn’t like the fact that you have to request the stuff to clean your apartment and change the bedsheets and towels. Even if you put the sign that says clean my apartment. The cleaning stuff won’t clean your apartment unless you request it in the front decks!

Place was very nice. And clean. Stuff was great. Not much to do in the area. You going to need a car because you have to drive 30 minutes or more to go have some fun.

I ordered a VIP taxi service through the resort to pick us up from the airport after traveling 24 hours. It didn’t come to meet us at the departure exit as was agreed. Eventually, after calling the resort numerous times, a taxi came—an hour after landing. And, the charge as more than agreed. Not a good way to start the trip.

Nice pools, good rooms, good super market. Close to excellent beach and beach restaurant.

Our room had some plumbing issues but the resort was quite responsive.

It was spread out, right on the beach, had several restaurant options. I also appreciated the very visible security presence.

I have 2 points about the room, firstly only a few of the sockets would allow travel adapters to be plugged in. The supplied hairdryer in the bathroom couldn’t be plugged into the sockets there either. The water from the shower was most of the time cold

The property is as far back as can be and very secluded. This is great for someone who wants to stay at the resort the whole time but not for someone who will be exploring the island.

The apartments were nice and well equipped with what we needed to cook. It was also nice that they had restaurants and a supermarket on site. My daughter enjoyed the beach and the pools.

There should have been more fun inside for the guests. One could hear the sound of the fun next door ( sirens) on a daily basis. Which normally attracts the guest to keep coming back in order to have an enjoyable vacation.

Location was good . Breakfast was not included, which should have been at least.

Cons the breakfast is too expensive for what they have. They should not charge for the electricity separately. The hotel needs to have a shuttle for a fee that takes people to the city.

The hotel is great clean with everything you need.

The breakfast is not included in the price and looks poor itself - absolutely not worthy its price. The workers tried to overcharge me twice, the customers should always pay attention to how much he pays, otherwise he would be charged twice different services, i.e. additional bill for electricity, extra prices in the supermarket on the territory of the hotel, etc.

The rooms are clean, there are the golf cars, that bring you to the beach, the concierge, Mr. Davidson, ist very nice, he takes care about our comfort (he should be promoted), the transfer from the airport was also brilliant - with Ford Explorer and with Chevrolet Suburban. The territory is huge and well-kept.

There was a little problem with the hot water working in the showers.

There was a fabulous restaurant on the property that served a buffet style breakfast for about $15/person. It was delicious, and we enjoyed getting to eat Dominican food.

Not all apartments are of equal quality for the same price. The maintenance of certain apartmenrs were downright deficient.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. Everyone, from the concierge to the housekeeping, responded eagerly to our every request.

The prices to eat and drink are high,there are only 3 restaurants in the resort,no possibility to go to eat in other places,taxi for 45km cost 90$ to go and back,in the supermarket prices are very high. They are not provided toilet paper,they sent us to buy from supermarket. Miqueas from the reception is laughing and makes jokes when turist go and ask for something..is very rude with tourists

Cleaning crew - worst ever experienced. Some stuff is simply not meant for hospitality business Restaurants' food is bad. If not for Castaways, I am not sure what choices would we have. If you end up close to Monkey Bar (we did not), you will be listening to very, very laud music all day long

Beach and beach setup. Admin Stuff - Helen, Maria, all stuff at Castaways restaurant (not officially part of resort), especially chef Lubin, ladies at the coffee shop, gardeners. Golf cart rental (a must especially for families. Resort is vast and provided free shuttle is not always there when you needed it)

80% of the stuff (in resort restaurants, supermarket, cleaning, gym...) barely understand basic English, but we managed to communicate with basic Spanish skills, google translate and pantomime well. We had infestation of some fungus (Cordyceps Sinensis like) that was growing/climbing the walls here and there during our stay. I think stuff tried to clean it before our arrival but it came back anyway. It wasn't dangerous, nothing happen to us, but I wouldn't recommend touching it even in curiosity (its weird looking). I don't know is that the case with ground level apartments only or not, but stuff was aware of it existing. We also had some very small ants entering somehow through closed doors and windows and marching mainly around kitchen and living room (PS. we have never left any source of food for them in open space). We had functional washing machine that wasn't connected to the water source (there was no hose). Other than above mentioned, we noticed that tap water could leave some rusty marks in bathrooms every couple of days after cleaning. Tap water was fine for shower and washing dishes/laundry. I wouldn't recommend drinking or washing teeth with it.

Spacious apartments equipped with all necessities and kitchenware (pots, pans, spoons, forks, knives etc...) looking exactly like on pictures. Resort was beautiful, pools very well maintained. Beach is daily cleaned, private and beautiful. Beach bar/restaurant Castaways and resort restaurant Mami Chula offer great meal choices, food is tasty and portions are big. Other restaurants and places had ok food for our taste. Distance from our apartment in Residence 1 to the beach was around 450m, easily accessible by walk if preferred. They have transportation carts driving around that can pick you up and drive anywhere within resort. During our stay spraying for mosquitoes happen to be organized so we didnt have much problem with them. Stuff was helpful and always in a good mood.

The description of the services in booking was not matching. For example the receptionist had no idea that the hotel was offering a BBQ for additional fee. Moreover we had to buy water when the bottle in the machine was over, toilet paper as well.
