The rooms are a bit tired, the bathroom taps did not work properly and the basin plug did not hold the water in. It was also very hot, there is no air conditioning. We had to keep the window open all night.

I didn't love my room. It was at the end and no view. Also, the wifi didn't work in my room which made keeping up with work challenging; however, there was a lounge on the ground floor that I could use.

The location is excellent and if visiting Monserrat it is worth it to stay over night. I stayed two nights and I am glad I did. I could do all of the sites without rushing. The staff was helpful and the meals were pretty good. I would definitely go back.

pros : Perfect location for Montserrat visit. Decent breakfast. cons : The moment I opened the door, I was tormented by the smell of sewage in the room. The shower booth, which was as narrow as a matchbox, actually looked somewhat cute in comparison. Nevertheless, this hotel is worth visiting.

The senior hostess/waitress was the main concern, as she was very grumpy and unaccommodating. The room was basic and had a tree view but we didn't need any thing more. The beds were just single beds and they were acceptable but I've had better. The main issue with our stay was the smell of the bathroom. We don't know if it was the water or the sewage system they have. We were smelling it terribly in our room and needed to open the window and keep the bathroom door closed. We did smell it in other areas such as the dining hall at breakfast.

The location is excellent close to all the sights, free admission to the basilica, etc. The breakfast was an added feature although when it was crowded it was like a feeding at the zoo. At check in the man at the desk was very helpful and accommodating. We parked at the bottom and rode the cable car to the top during our stay.

poor sound proofing. you can literally just heard what your next room is doing and people at the corridor kids yelling around, no control by the parents. noise is really loud even flushing the toilet from next door

I know your at the top of a mountain, but once you had checked in, you had to park away from the property. Maybe need a little shuttle car to bring you back to your accommodation.

Few issues: 1- The water pressure in the shower was a tickle perhaps that is because I was on the 4th floor or it could be a morning thing when everyone else is trying to have a shower at the same time. In the end I managed but it took a while and was frustrating. 2- You hear every door closing on the floor and every conversation people are having on their way in and out of their rooms. Sound proofing is not great. 3-There is no common area to eat or heat your own food if you wish so. 4-The room on the backside of the buildings face straight into cliff rock so no view and little natural light. On the positive side they probably do not hear the noise from the general visitors in the area. 5-There was no socket on the bed side and just two in the whole room. One with the TV plugged in and other with the desk lamp. There is a kettle provided but only way to use it was to put it on the floor and then plug it into the socket for the lamp. The rooms could surely do with more sockets especially as a person like me like to travel with their phone, earphones, laptop, camera, power bank that all need charging every night in holidays.

I was a little sceptical reading some of the reviews but I found the room clean and comfortable with desk and a chair and a wardrobe. No issues there. I came in early but was checked in straight away and the check out is generous 12 noon which I made full use of. The hotel stay also gives free access to Basilica which is great.

It's still a monastery so expect basilica bells ringing until midnight and a wake up round of bells at 5:30am. Also, one of the rooms we booked had a moldy smell in the bathroom

It's got a gorgeous view and the staff are very friendly. Worth the stay for early access to beat the countless tour groups that arrive constantly throughout the day.

I wanted to stay at Montserrat overnight when all day tourists are gone and this is the best hotel to do so. Our room was good and spacious and had everything we needed. The restaurant is nicely decorated and served good food.

Excellent location, next to the bascilica. Room facility is in line with 3-star hotel. Staff is nice and helpful. It's a bonus that the accommodation provides complimentary visit to the bascilica and choir performance.

Location of our room didn't get wifi signal, having to sit at the reception for internet access. Parking at reduced rate of 8.5 euros for a day for hotel guests, but located about 10 mins walk from hotel after dropping off luggage / checking in at reception, depending where you can find available slot.

Superb view from our room window. Various amenities, attractions and good natural views around. Room was clean and comfortable, with tea/coffee facility. Adequate size of bedroom and bathroom.
