Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHad to pay for nice cocktails and ice creams. Maybe a limit on them would be good, but the machine ones are not strong enough.bColdness of pool. Second bedroom a pain being in the living area when bunk beds would fit in main bedroom. Mini disco is for toddlers, nothing for older children at that time even though kids club is up to age 12. Would be nice to have vegetarian sausage at breakfast and for the omelettes to be made for vegetarians. We could not eat them as same area being used for meat ones and using the same implements as used for the meat ones. Meat contamination!
Amazing entertainment from the pirates. Halloween weekend was sensational. Amazing food generally.

IrelandSun lounger situation could be better, should be allocated to the apartment, 2 per apartment or something as its a bit mad the way it is now with people queuing up for them, but we are not much of sunbathers so didn't bother us, but if you are it could be annoying. Kids club wasn't the greatest, staff were nice and everything but its a bit dark and scrunched up there, could do with a bigger room and brightening up in there.
We stayed for 10 nights in the middle of August 2024, the apartment was great, it wasn't the biggest but the one bedroom on the third floor was ideal for us with a family of 5, the two younger kids slept in the sofa bed in the kitchen which folds out to make 2 single beds and the toddler had a travel cot provided by the hotel. We had a double bed which honestly could fit all 5 of us, it was huge, had to of been a super size bed it was massive. The pool was great, nice slides, bit annoying with the lack of sun loungers but we are used to that August is always too crowded, you have to expect that. We went self catering and the food in the resort of Santa Ponsa was amazing, great restaurants here, found it better than Playa De Las Americas in Tenerife where we previously stayed. Shows in hotel were good and location of hotel is great, huge supermarket up the road and fantastic Chinese shop next door selling everything. I'd come back again for sure. I loved how relaxed all the staff were and lifeguards etc, let the kids jump in the pool, have fun on the slides, etc, it wasn't overly marshalled like a lot of places I've been, really good for kids

United KingdomIt was a little crowded at times around the pool but we did go peak season, however always got a sun lounger and was able to watch children at all times in the water park area.
Great for families, kept children entertained all day. Pool and slide area was great fun! Great location.

United StatesPool was dirty and extremely crowded, the pool was too crowded Sunday, parents got slightly aggressive, the pirate show used fake guns and it promoted aggression from the kids toward the pirates on Sunday, the sunbed issue is an issue, more shade is needed at the pool area, the room needs better curtains to block out the light for sleep, the walls must be paper thin, the coffee tasted odd, and some of the more adult food was way too salty. Lots of obesity so I’d recommend healthy snacks like veggies and fruit instead of fries, soda, etc. - sparkling water (not tonic) would be nice. The snack burgers weren’t good and my kids didn’t like the snack hot dog. Lots and lots of bad sunburns so I’d recommend selling sun shirts (could have the pirate/mermaid theme). Promoting exercise would be a great idea. Kids could leave the resort with healthy new ways to eat, drink more water, do kids yoga, etc. maybe have a jumping or cartwheel challenge?
The staff are incredible and deserve 10/10! Beverly is amazing. The room was cleaned daily. The resort is a child’s dream until the pirate theme gets old. More mermaid and positive sailor theme would be nice. The beach is a close walk and there are stores nearby where you can buy anything you need (such as shampoo, conditioner, and beach towels). The kitchen in the room was well stocked and the shower was newly upgraded. The shows and kids club were mostly fantastic (other than Sunday). The performers were incredible! The pizza was great.

United KingdomThe room was dark and dated needed modernised. The lifts are a health hazard, the doors closed and struck our kid on the head. The cleaning staff that did the rooms could perhaps be a bit more pleasant.
The theme of the hotel is excellent. The entertainment staff are also excellent and all the shows are a bit all over the place they are really entertaining for all age groups.

United KingdomNot much tbh. The slide pool was very cold. Some of the acts were pretty full on which suited older kids more than the younger ones.
Lots of entertainment for kids, plenty of sunbeds (mid September) even though their were plenty of people ready to set up shop before they were put out. Staff were great and really friendly, we had a great time.

IrelandNot about property but for organising taxis for airport etc a deposit is needed for car seats. €15 per child to receptionist. It was just a confusing scenario that wasn’t explained properly to us. You get the deposit back once the Taxi arrives.
Travelled with a 5 year old and 5 month old. Couldn’t really fault the place. Entertainment was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed the pirate shows and discos each night. Location was ok. Nice and quiet street at night time. Straight walk down to end of street for beach. About a 10/15 min walk to busy street for bars, live music etc at night. Brilliant family holiday over all.

SwitzerlandThe food was okish, quality of food corresponding to a 3star hotel. But I would have preferred more Spanish typical dishes and drinks than British ones. Longer opening hours of the hotel pool would have been great as the pool was open from 10h to 18h, so more or less the hours when you are supposed to avoid the sun. Or maybe if some shade could be provided during these hours.
Very good entertainment especially for the kids/ families (mini disco, shows every night + activities during the day and kids club). Our daughter enjoyed very much the pool with all the waterslides and the mermaid course. She preffered the pool to the beach. The room was comfy, the big bed was appreciated as well as the powerful air conditioning.

IrelandThere isn't much room around the pool area, and you have to get down really early to secure a spot. Once the show finishes in the evening, there is nothing else that happens, and everybody leaves.
The entertainment for the kids was excellent and the Pirates really made the stay enjoyable. Brilliant swimming pools.
