How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No it was absolutely brilliantl!
Fantastic small hotel in a great location in the Benidorm old town. The staff we’re welcoming and attentive and could not do enough for us. Emilio and Maria were great hosts and we enjoyed our conversations very much. The breakfast was simple but included everything we needed and very good quality produce. We will definitely be back to Benidorm and staying in this hotel.

There was nothing not to like - everything was perfect
Wow what a wonderful experience, we were greeted by the lovely Maria Jose, she was full of knowledge about the area and gave us lovely tips about places to visit and to eat. The hotel was in a very convenient location walking distance to all the major attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of foods and the all-day free coffee machine was a very nice addition.

friendly welcome, explained everything on arrival ,little touches water and fridge in room ,and they personally remembered your name ,rooms cleaned every day and clean towels, beds and pillows where so comfortable, 24hr drinks and cakes was a lovely touch as where the umbrellas by the door ,the little things that make this hotel a little hidden gem

This hotel is a little gem set in the perfect location in Benidorm. On arrival we were met by Emilio who checked us in and then gave full info on Benidorm. The hotel is spotlessly clean set two blocks back from the beach, a 3-4 minute walk to the old town and a 20 minute walk across to the livelier side. The rooms were a little small but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served at the table with you being offered cheese, ham, fresh fruit, tostada, fresh tomato, tuna, croissant the list goes on. The staff were exceptional constantly topping up your fresh orange juice. We will definitely be returning and have no reservations of recommending this hotel to everyone. 10 out of 10.

We liked everything, we can only speak very highly of Hotel Castillo. The lovely welcome on arrival, Emilio was so helpful with everything and very informative. We only needed to ask if we were unsure of anything. Showing the four of us to our two rooms our rooms were very welcoming and spotlessly clean. Maria was there in the evening when we strolled back to the hotel. She asked about our day and if we needed anything before she finished her shift. In the morning at breakfast Maria greeted us with a lovely smile and good morning. Looking after us so well, Breakfast is Spanish Continental plenty of choice and is served at your table. We were sad to leave today, we felt we were leaving friends. We will certainly be back ASAP. This hotel is a credit to everyone who is involved with the running of it. Hotel Castillo certainly deserves every one of those excellent reviews it has been awarded. Well done all of you, it was a pleasure to stay with you. Thank you from.. Nothing, everything was great. A bit of building work and noise locally, but that's nothing to do with the hotel
Very friendly staff, they couldnt be more helpful and informative from the minute we walked in the door to the minute we checked out. Breakfast was typically Spanish and very good.They even accompanied me to the remote secure car park to ensure we didn't get lost

There was nothing I didn't like.
To say I liked this hotel would be an understatement! It's simply amazing. A perfect location, top-level service, a great breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious strong coffee. My wife and I felt at home, like we were with family. I highly recommend this hotel. I rarely do this, but this time I’m giving it a full 10 out of 10!

The Hotel was fabulous. The staff were so helpful and extremely friendly. There were free hot drinks in reception 24/7 with little cakes. Also a big bottle of water was left in the room fridge every day.

It deserves more than a one star 🌟
Excellent welcome from Maria Receptionist made us feel right at home. With plenty of information so we could enjoy Benidorm. It's location facilities and staff were excellent.

During our recent visit to Benidorm, We stayed at Hotel Castillo Benidorm, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. A hidden Gem in benidorm. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing. The location is excellent and just 150m from the beach and all the old town has to offer.
