We were a family of 5 and the whole place only allowed 4 people in a taxi so we couldn’t get one. The only option was to hire a car. It’s just such an inconvenience as we didn’t know this and missed our excursion we had already booked because they wouldn’t send us a larger taxi as they are non available

Beautiful setting. Beautiful large suite which was very comfortable and homely. Very large balcony with great view. Lovely food freshly cooked. Very handy for two supermarkets and a number of restaurants if needed.

It was very early in the opening stage of the season i.e. 1st day after months closure for refurbishment - so disappointed with the little things that really should have been snag checked before we booked in - such as the patio doors were almost unable to be opened, had to call maintenance to assist, just needed some 3in1.. We weren't escorted to our room, left to find it within the complex with our suitcase and no one to introduce us to the room facilities which would have been good i.e. the hydrabath and multi spray shower. TV channels were only in Spanish - nothing for a raining day in English even one news channel would have been good. The buffet whilst very clean, beautifully laid out and served by a great team of staff, the hand cooked food was a lovely touch but lacked quality of taste so maybe concentrate on a specific menu of choices and not spread them too thinly. Remember if you are in the Prestige Suites section you are not allowed to part take in the Prestige Club complex restaurants.

The location was fantastic from views to being close to the little seafront beach, bars, restaurants and supermarket and pharmacy. Really handy. The staff everywhere in the complex were extremely friendly, hard working and helpful. Pool super clean and constantly lifeguard on duty during day. Breakfast and Dinner is served Buffet style with a wide range of options from plain and simple to continental to most tastes. We were in a Prestige Suites suite and it was great size, very comfortable and directly looking out over the sea. To be honest a bit of entertainment any of the nights would have been pleasant, a grand piano in the bar and no-one to play :) The Tourist Train from just outside the complex was brilliant - well worth it at Euro 7 round trip - hop on and hop off and the bus to Mahon City just 25 minutes and Euro 1.75 pp single was very easy and right outside the door too.

The old suites could be renovated but still very confortable.

The location, the garden with Nice swimm8ng pool, the restaurant and bar at the pool. Breakfast buffet so nice. We were staying at the prestige suites part of the hôtel, which has dedicated swimming pool and garden area !

Due to the time of year, there are ants everywhere. A few make it into the property however that never affected our stay or bothered us

The location is great. A 15-20min journey from the airport which we did via an airport transport service. On site are two hotels. The prestige is slightly apart but as a family we still had access to the all big pools and kiddy pool. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The buffet had so much choice and everything was great quality. Just outside is a park and 2mins walk away is a monitored beach and more restaurants. It was easy to catch a local bus and do a trip into mahon.

Ants. There were a lot of ants in and around the property that aren’t really dealt with by the cleaners. Had to buy some insect repellant to get rid of them.

The hotel still did not correct a booking problem when 3 nights were charged instead of two. Booking.com does not seem able to process the reimbursement for the 3rd night.

Not enough space to write it all in this review - Ordinarily, when walking into and through 5* hotel, you know it’s 5* immediately. The surrounds are luxurious and beautiful and the service is exceptional. Sadly this wasn’t the case. We spoke with 5 other families who had the same negative experience as us – expecting and not getting a 5* holiday.

There were many ants in the apartment. The staff did not bring water when we asked. There was no water even in the gym. Despite several calls to the reception to bring water, it only happened after an hour and a half when the girl who works at the gym's reception brought it. We lacked soap. Often no one answered the room service number. The gym is very poor and there are sweat stains on the equipment.

The outdoor pool is great. The location, as well as the swimming pool within the apartment

Terrible smell of mould in the rooms, requested iron was delivered 6,5 hours later after several reminders without the ironing board; air conditioning did not work first night, the requested documentation for the check out was given 2 hours later and with mistakes; room was cleaned from ants only after the second request... All this pleasure for 1415 euro for 4 days.. You really need to be lucky ..
