How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

If you have a room overlooking the pool, the noise caused by guest activities/games and the music is deafening. A very negative point.

Great hotel. Comfy beds. Comfy sunbeds. Activities at pool. Only negative was pool closed 2 days out of the week as teenagers pooed in pool. Not hotels fault but seems to be a regular occurrence. Put me off returning.

Having to come home
Me and my 6yr old son went for my birthday and I would recommend to anybody I will be definitely going back in the summer with my son it was very clean , plenty to do , breakfast unbelievable plenty of choice , staff keep the kids well occupied throughout the day everyday

The entertainment could have been slightly better. The toilets could be cleaned more frequently and bleach used in the rooms.
The staff were very friendly and happy. It was a great location near the beach and local market and shopping area. Good range of food - fresh fish and meat each night.

The small plunge pools on the roof very cold and only one was available to use
The food was excellent and such a great choice - New Years Eve was spectacular

Staff that could check when products run out and food that is hot.
I had porridge each morning but it was not very hot so had to use the microwave. I had toast after but my first morning there was strawberry jam but none after that.

The showers in the courtesy shower room are 2 extremely confined small cubicles, which are not accessible to those with mobility limitations & of bigger size.
Excellent location (supermarket opposite the hotel, close to the beach) Great facilities - shops, hair dressers and nail salon inside, massage too, and customer care is exceptional (multiple daily activities for kids and adults alike) Clean Kind, welcoming and proactive staff

That you had to pay with card for everything or charge it to your room. Would rather have the option to pay cash.

The dining. The staff was hurried and harried. The food was a cut above mediocre. The dining room was so noisy. It would be nice to have an adults only section.
Location, cleanliness, and helpful front desk staff. We enjoyed the live music outside.

We booked all inclusive but there was a charge for some items and premium drinks. This was a surprise and had been implemented after our booking was made. The food was the same and not very inspiring or exciting. If I was going again I'd book Bed and Breakfast as there is so many better options outside the hotel.
The location is ideal for restaurants, bars and walks along the promenade between Fanabe and Las Americas. The bar areas are nice and well attended with adequate staff numbers. Staff are all very pleasant and polite. Rooms are cleaned everyday and the shower is very powerful.

The room was not very clean when we arrived. However staff cleaned it and gave us a complementary treat to apologize. The pools on the rooftop were not always cleaned very well. WIFI on room 1156 does not work very well unfortunately. No instructions on how to find gym, spa, elevators for rooftop etc. 2 separate beds in the room put together - it was not comfy.
There are more than 3 pools - 2 adults only on the rooftop and also a nudist part. Quality of food at the buffet was good majority of the time. Staff very polite and helpful. Free access to the gym with water and towels. Shows and events were good and well planned.
