FinlandThe first room we got on the first floor was not cleaned well (hair in the bed) and smelled bad in the bathroom, but the staff agreed to switch the room to a different one without a problem. The hotel is getting on in age and has a certain 90s vibe to it. We got full board - lunch, dinner and breakfast and were left a bit disappointed with the food. On plus side there was always a huge selection of food, but the quality of the food on offer was quite low. I would have maybe preferred a smaller selection bud higher quality.
The pools are nice. Good location few steps from the beach.

United KingdomWalls are paper thin (snoring from one room kept us awake a few nights - plus other noises). Bathroom vents were concerning - if you look through you can see into the neighbouring bathroom (only through slats, not literally)... made me a little uneasy about using the shower and if your neighbour is using the bathroom at the same time you can hear EVERYTHING! Main concern was the food labelling in the restaurant. All allergens are listed on food products but not meat content... as a vegetarian the fish was easy to spot as it was contained in the allergens but not so the meat. As an example, day 1 there was coleslaw, day 2 the coleslaw had sausage, day 3 it had chicken but there was nothing to state this.... what was in the ravioli? or the quiche? or the omelette? Whenever I asked a staff member they directed me to the allergen list which did not list any meat products. Opted for salad most days but would have loved to try some of the hot food - it looked delicious and as stated above it was plentiful and varied. In fairness to the hotel, this seems to be typical in Spain but it would be really helpful if a 'V' could be added to the food labels.
Location is brilliant for both beach and train. Facilities are great (pool was never overcrowded and lots of sunbeds available). Hotel is spotlessly clean and all staff members are friendly and helpful (daytime bar staff exceptionally so). Entertainment was ok (repeats on some nights). Spa treatments were wonderful and gift shop is worth a browse - (didn't use the hairdressing salon so can't comment on it). Supermarket over the road to stock up on water/provisions (fridge in room keeps things nice and cool). Room and balcony both a good size for a couple. Restaurant is well organised with long opening hours. Food is plentiful and varied. Sometimes a bit hit and miss in terms of temperature but there is a microwave for general use and some diners were using it to heat the food. Will be happy to stay again and already looking for next year.

SpainNo extra pillows available in the room, although I was able to use the pillow on the spare bed to get a good nights sleep. Bathroom could have been cleaner and the bath plug chain was too short to be useful.
Excellent welcome. Room was clean and bright. The buffet catering was plentiful and tasty; the staff were very gluten aware and eager to please. The wifi was good.

United KingdomThin walls so if other customers in rooms nearby are making a noise you will hear them. No kettle or iron in room. Breakfast was the same everyday. Occasional different products some days would make it better.
Comfy beds spacious hotel. Lots of facilities. Friendly staff. Fridge in room and balcony. Few minutes walk from train station so easy access to Fuengirola Centre, Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Malaga. Taxi rank also just outside hotel. Beach, restaurants and bars also close by. Supermarket across the road.
