Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The balcony was quite tiny and there appeared not be that many shops or pubs nearby.
A value-for money hotel which is close to the airport (less than 10 minutes drive away) and neat. The neighborhood was well lit and appeared safe at night. I liked the free airport shuttle service. My room was spacious, clean, well-insulated, had free toiletries as well as complimentary tea items and bottled water, and a balcony. The water heater worked well during my stay. The hotel's staff were friendly, professional, welcoming and could speak understand and speak English. The internet worked well. I was able to attend online meetings without internet disruptions. I liked the spa (which was open round the clock) and the gym. I wouldn't mind staying here again, when next I visit Addis.

Could be cleaner in the rooms.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is close to airport. I got to use the steam and i highly recommend if you ever chose to stay.

My flight was late and arrived at midnight. The hotel shuttle still picked me up free of charge and took me to the hotel where the checkin was kept open for my arrival and went smoothly. Great facilities with gym, hammam etc. The breakfast buffe was meager with mostly local food but the staff quickly made me an omelette.

Room which i was given had AC not working, AC was not fixed even after complaining to front desk.

Hotel promises air conditioning, however, I stayed there twice on separate occasions and no A/C, just blows circulated air. On booking.com says hotel provides hairdryer and there was none in room or at the front desk. Not a big deal but would have been nice to have. Overall good sized rooms, good location but overpriced.
Staff very friendly and helpful, great location if you need to stay close to airport, supermarket 10 mins walk away. Room was very spacious.

Fiker the supervisor and Gize the bartender, I would give 10/10. They both went out of their way to welcome and accommodate me. Bravo to excellent customer service

I recently had the pleasure of staying at TH BonRoyal and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I was greeted at the airport by the shuttle driver, to the warm and efficient check-in process, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The dinning room staff were attentive and friendly, making each meal a delightful experience. The manager's prompt email responses to my inquiries demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.
