Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing we didn't like was that the toilet in the igloo was just beside the sleeping area and not fully closed off - probably would be better to have it further if possible just for smell and sound!
The staff were amazing. We arrived late and night to find that they packed dinner for us! They were also super accommodating with any requests. The igloos were also bigger than expected and allowed us to see the northern lights. The resort has an app that notifies you when the northern lights are visible and that allowed us to see them multiple times in the night. We also enjoyed the husky sleigh experience the most! It was much more fun than expected and the dogs were really friendly and fun!

United StatesWe were moved to West Village because we were there at the end of the season. West Village is a bit of a factory, designed for big tours.
Glass igloos w sauna were really fun. We were lucky to have one (of three) nights w northern lights. Husky safari was well run and great.

MalaysiaThis wasn't the fault of the resort, but the partner providing the snowmobile experience for the resort was abysmal. The route was really bumpy and uncomfortable. Even though it was a "aurora hunting" adventure, it was cloudy and snowing that night, and the ride went on anyways. Most providers would've canceled and refunded. We were also not given the snowmobile coverall suits because the guide said we were "dressed well enough". Quite unprofessional.
The staff was exceptionally helpful. We were running late for one of the adventures and missed the transport. One of the staff was able to sort it out immediately and we made it in time.

NetherlandsThe bathrooms could be closer to the igloos. And the en-suit toilets are very tiny. Considering the price paid, it felt like the place is not at all value for money. For more than 600 euros per night, I would expect a bit more luxury. And probably have room cleaning everyday at least.
The glass igloos are amazing. You really feel one with nature. Specially because we also got to see the northern lights from the igloo itself. The food, both breakfast and dinner, are quite good. The staff was helpful and available at all times.

IndiaThe dinner options were quite limited, and having more variety would have been great. Additionally, there were fewer signboards around the property, which made navigation a bit confusing at times. The Northern Lights alarm in our room didn’t work, but the staff provided us with an app that functioned just like the alarm, ensuring we didn’t miss the spectacular display in the sky. The height of door is really small and if you are tall you might struggle by bending again and again. Overall, despite a few minor issues, it was a fantastic stay
The property is truly exceptional and offers a completely unique experience. We stayed in an igloo, and the view from it was absolutely breathtaking—especially when we got to see the Northern Lights! It was an unforgettable sight. What made our stay even better was the variety of activities available on the property. This was incredibly convenient, as we didn’t have to travel anywhere else for entertainment. Everything we needed was right there, making our experience even more enjoyable.

United StatesI didn’t do some of the activities because I was not able to pack appropriate clothing. They provide winter gear - they should promote this feature. It would help them make more money.
They pay attention and provide a little extra when and where they can. It was quiet where I was which was much appreciated.
