The pool. Every review I see complains about the pool. This hotel is different because it gas pool, but it is sooooo cold, that nobody wants to be there. Why cant You renew and then the pool would be full of people.

Location very good, river nearby, beautiful landscape, bus stop nearby. Breakfast is ok, but if something is finished than You have to wait very long for it to be changed.

Better coffee choice at breakfast time i.e. lattes or cappuccino. Water temperature in the swimming pool could be a couple of degrees warmer.

I liked the convenience of the hotel within Rovaniemi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food at breakfast. The cleanliness was of a high standard throughout. Great parking facilities.

Lovely hotel over looking the river, beautiful views and breathtaking to see from the restaurant - good plentiful and varied breakfast but beware porridge etc and some custard looking cinnamon traditional pastries are salted - don’t like to choose or waste food so just for info, not a complaint. Overall dated but beautiful and well maintained despite needing upgrades. Pool was lovely and yes it’s cold but not as cold as outside and worth a swim, pool was quiet at 830 before breakfast on our last morning and at least we’ve swum in Lapland in winter so another great memory made for us and the children :) There were also pool floats/noodles free to borrow for the children. Would love to go back but not peak season prices! Felt safe and good security to each floor of the hotel too. Added bonus it was a short walk away to the main town centre, angry birds park and by the bus stop for naava cafe and ice skating which was lovely and to Santa Claus village etc. We also walked 40ish mins to the worlds most northern McDonald’s and it was worth it to look around a bit more and it was fun for the children and the best I’ve tasted as it’s Santas after all :) Seriously lovely place to stay and a wonderful view

The pool and sauna area was very cold, it's was in the older hotel and needs a little upgrade, the sauna only opened at 5pm, pictures are old of the space.

The room in the newer building was very nice and modern.

Some areas of the hotel were a little dated, sauna limited to evenings only.

That rare thing - a family room for that can fit 2 adults and 3 children - centrally located with great views over the river, and plenty of car parking at no extra charge. Everywhere was cosy, warm and clean. Amazing varied breakfast buffet (also overlooking the river) and a friendly atmosphere - there seemed to be a lot of organised tour groups during our stay, but it didn't detract from the experience. Our room was in a separate building, connected via lift / stairs and underground tunnel (which was helpful when it was -20 outside!). An added bonus was the quiet swimming pool (open daytimes) with sauna (open evenings only), although the pool was colder than advertised. Overall this hotel was great for passing through Rovaniemi, or as a base for day trips and tours.

To get to the bedrooms there is a long walk down basement corridor to get to 2 tiny elevators , which always have long queues . Forgetting something in the room or going to the room is a 20/25 minute excursion . Disgraceful that there is no staircase accessible in that area

There was no hair dryer in the room. And I think the room was overpriced but I guess it was due to high season.

For an extremely expensive city, this is a good enough deal. Basic room, no extras like facial tissue or lotion. Room/bed was comfortable. Fridge has some minibar items. Breakfast is extensive. Has a sauna in locker rooms that you don’t have to prebook. Easy to be picked up for tours or catch buses as it’s right outside hotel. Quick walk up to main pedestrian area.

No early check-in option, that I have to wait almost 4 hours until roughly 4PM to get to my room. The food card display at breakfast time lacked ingredients info in English as we were looking for non-pork menus.

Our room was really spacious, we got the old ones (not the refurbished ones). The bathroom was clean. Breakfast was nice with several menu options. The staff were helpful. Walking distance to the city centre. Surprisingly the room was really quiet.

The room was outdated. The towels could have been replaced more frequently. There were no kettle, tea or coffee facilities in the room.

Some staff were very helpful, others fairly indifferent. The whole place could use a refresh as it is a bit tired, but overall it did the job.

Staff wasn’t that friendly, they told us we could check in at 2pm instead of 4pm when we asked so we were there at 2pm but we had to wait for 2 more hours… hotel was quite old. Facilities were ok. Communal area with couches was dirty and old. Sauna was nice but pool too cold. A big renovation of the hotel seems necessary.

Good location! Nice to take a walk in the evening. Bus stop in front of the hotel (but the buses were never really on time on the bus stop, don’t depend on the hours you see…) Loved the sauna. Breakfast area wasn’t very cosy but the food was very nice and a lot of choice. Also a lot of gluten free options.

The cold pool was a non starter. Respecting the sauna cold water concept, after a day on a winter safari this had zero appeal. The buffet was reasonable but chaotic. We were disappointed at the room cleaning and never really understood what happened during room clean as only towels were replaced and we had to request loo roll separately. The kids room in the lobby has seen better days. It was more a room for kids to go feral in than functional with any facilities. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The bar area was more an extension of the reception desk so you have to navigate around large groups checking it but the wait was never too bad. It would be nice to see some investment in the common areas.

Hotel was well located. Lovely setting on the riverside. Room was comfortable and the major bonus was the building being connected to Lapland Safari’s office. Bathroom was nicely decorated and whilst the beds were two singles were comfortable and the room temp was well maintained.

Two separate buildings linked by underground tunnel. So it’s a long walk to the breakfast area if you are staying at the other building.

The room was okay even if the structure is very old. Price is a bit too high in my opinion.

Breakfast was amazing, rich and with high quality products. The staff is very nice and support you with any question, information or concern. Location is very good.
