Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Take mosquito spray because even though there are mosquito nets on the windows many still seem to get inside!
Very big, spacious apartment with everything you need for your stay including things like oil, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets etc. Nice quiet area and parking on the property. About a 30 minute walk to the old town/castle. Train station is very close and there is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away.

The only negative for us was that we were going up to the castle each night and it was a 40 minute walk And it was a bit dark so bring a torch

Nothing - It was perfect - no issues at all.
This apartment was just excellent - large rooms - loads of space - great facilities - really clean and comfortable -near the town - absolutely delighted with this place - highly recommend.

Location was not so central and a bit tired (burnt out house and garages on the approach to the property), but this was reflected in the price. It was still an excellent stay and excellent value for money.
Very spacious and clean - all the amenities one would need. Nice bedrooms and living room - lovely veranda.

Distance from old city, but it was fine to walk.
Lots of space. Lovely balcony for breakfast and the evenings. Near the Canal Midi for walking running and cycling and fairly near the station.

The outside of the property is a little rundown. It needs to be cleaned up a bit so the outside matches the inside. Also the area is a little run down
The apartment is very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed. It is a short walk to town and you can go on the canal path.

A simply marvellous apartment; clean, bright, well equipped, most spacious and very comfortable. It is a quiet and convenient location just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the station and city centre and 15 to the castle.

A few mosquitoes around Carcassonne (it’s got canal and river) so I’d bring mosquito spray, etc on next visit.

Amazing spacious apartment, clean with everything you need . 3 big bedrooms, 2 with ensuite. Situated down a quiet road about 10 minutes walk into carcassonne centre. The hosts were really helpful and friendly. The building was more than sufficient for the 5 of us. Would 100% recommend 👌

Everything perfect.
The apartment was spacious and incredibly well appointed. Everything we could possibly need. An oasis of calm and coolness when it was exceedingly hot! Lovely terrace for eating, relaxing etc. and close to shops and restaurants.

we traveled with three families so an extra toilet would be useful.
a large apartment with three bedrooms, a large living room, a terrace and a well-equipped kitchen. Two of the bedrooms had their own micro bathrooms with a shower which was very convenient, there was also large additional bathroom. We arrived very late (sorry!), the owner was waiting for us.

Directions to the property could be slightly clearer (down a small road with a no entry sign on!). The exterior of the property is somewhat faded, but once inside it was all fabulous. Great large internal “patio” area..but it got very hot from the sun, so a pity there is no external area to sit in.
This department was as described….very spacious, modern, quality fittings throughout , well equipped kitchen, great bathrooms. The hosts were extreme.y helpful and responsive. It was all very clean. Great TV with Netflix and other options. Location was great as a base to explore Carcassone… walking times…five minutes to the rail station, 10/15 minutes to the shops, 25 minutes to the walled city and 30 minutes to a fabulous aqua pool and tennis complex.

the pillows as there was only one long one and 2 show cushions which was slightly uncomfortable but didn’t affect sleeping.
very spacious, enough to fit 4 people with a lot of space. The rooms were lovely and clean and the showers in the rooms were a great touch.
