Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had to go out for breakfast because they had run out of pastries and there wasn't anywhere for a family of three to sit. WiFi in my room was very weak, was only 1 night so didn't matter but might have been annoying for longer. Also the cleaning trolleys were permanently stationed by the lift, giving the corridor a scruffy look.
Staff friendly, room clean and comfortable. Location is great, right by a metro station.

NetherlandsThe rooms are very small, almost claustrophobic. It looked bigger on the pictures. Also it is quite noisy, we heard housekeeping calling early in the morning with her friend while cleaning the other room which woke us up. We stayed at Best Western multiple times in Paris, but not at this one and will not be returning here unfortunately.

QatarAs much as we want to rate 5star for this hotel, we cannot because of some reasons. The way the room is constructed and designed, it is so weird. Where in the world did you find a toilet inside a cabinet, and no sink in it, you need to go to the shower room to wash your hands, OMG! The room should be tag as "Executive Room", it is a double room only! The 3rd bed is a small sofa bed and it sounds crecking all the time, when the sofa bed for the 3rd person is used, then it covers the mini fridge and that fridge is already useless. The room have high roof because it is located on the 5th floor and probably the loof already, so it could have been better if they created a loof bed instead. MOST IMPORTANTLY, there are bed bugs!!! on the 1st day itself, my daughter is already itching, some bug bites on her arms and legs. The bed looks clean, but We don't think it is clean and disinfected enough. Another thing we observed is that, they do not replenish the liquid soaps and tissue, OMG, they gave just 1 small box of tissue to be used by 3 persons for 3 nights and 4 days!!! Just 1 small tissue box. Even in the toilet in a cabinet, the tissue is not new. Hotels should give a NEW tissue for every new customer, because you never know what the previous customer did!!! I cannot recommend this hotel and the room "Executive Room" to any future customers, because of the size of the room itself and how it is designed.
For the reception staff, Jean Paul was so friendly, though he charges us with an additional Eur30 for early check in at 10:30am, its acceptable, he is helpful and welcoming. The lady reception staff too when we check out was so kind and helpful and friendly. For the breakfast, there were less options, but we enjoyed the bacon and hams, it was great!

United KingdomI paid Booking.com in full several days before arrival. Despite having confirmation of this and the money being taken from my bank account, we weren't allowed to check in without given preauthorisation of full amount again, plus additional fees. Staff were very casual about this and initially stated it would be rectified AFTER check out. We had to push to have the preauthorisation cancelled (as money is unavailable in your account whilst the preauthorisarion is in place).... it was sorted at our insistence, but be mindful of this when paying through booking.com

AustraliaBooking.com states this property has air conditioning when in fact it didn’t. Perhaps “air control” or however they phrase it but essentially there was no AC and on a summers night I found it hard to sleep because it was too hot. Window had to be open but Paris can be a noisy city. I don’t fault the hotel for this necessarily, but feel really let down by Booking.com’s system of classifying hotel attributes. I would not have booked this hotel if I knew it did not have AC.

United StatesNot a great location for the tourist sights. Very expensive. It is the market price but was costly.
Bed was huge and comfortable, but made the room small. Took up most of the room. Desk was small but had a chair with a back. Shower was very good, great pressure. Good wifi. A/C worked well. Coffee maker, kettle, coffee and tea, fridge, room safe, plenty of plugs for electronics. Free bag storage. Short walk from Gare Du Nord but it's an uphill walk going back. Pleasant staff.
