There was nothing we didn't like.

We enjoyed the spacious comfortable room with a really good bed. The chateau is beautiful with a lovely view over the countryside and at dawn the surrounding garden and trees are alive with songbirds. The proprietors were really interesting and told us about the history of the chateau over a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast.

A warm welcome from two charming hosts,. The building is stunning with an interesting history. It's beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room was palatial. We also really enjoyed the delicious meal cooked by our hostess. Would love to go back.

A kettle in the bedroom, but only as I love early morning tea in bed.

This one took us a wee while to find, as we didn't realise it was a private residence. Hence the lack of signposting! But my oh my, were we blown away when we walked through the door. This is a amazing place to stay, classy pop art and historic building styled to perfection. Dinner was a delicious set menu, cooked by host. It featured local and regional French food & drink. A totally unforgettable evening. The room was exceptionally comfortable, I'd love that bed at home :) Best night's sleep I've ever had in France. Breakfast was a set menu, served in style and thoroughly lovely. Our hosts were exceptional too, they were attentive and knowledgeable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend, we will be going back if they'll have us :)

Our stay at Chateau Marieville was exceptional, including the welcome we received from our hosts. The Chateau and it's setting are magnificent. The interior decor is beautiful and elegant and our room, the Vienne, was very comfortable, quiet and spacious and overlooked the valley. Our meals were superb! We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thanks to Hubert and Edith for the music, the history and the conversation.

We weren’t able to stay longer!

Edith and Hubert were fabulous hosts and very welcoming. The Chateau is amazing and looks even better than in the photos. Our room was quirky, with its own turrets, and very comfortable! The breakfast was delightful and the dinner (additional charge) even more so.

Without a car.... few nearby places to eat. Château can do some food but were unclear to what extent.

I stayed sunday night and there were no facilities for an evening meal at the chateau or in the village. Nearest place was macdonalds 12km away. Would have helped to have tea/coffee making facility in the room.

the public rooms have some fantastic art, sculpture and furniture on display. My actual room was nice and the host was especially welcoming.
